The light, which has been in continuous operation for over fifty years, is perched on towering sea cliffs where Bass Strait and the Southern Ocean collide.
For thousands of immigrants, after many months at sea, Cape Otway was their first sight of land after leaving Europe.
Views of the lighthouse and ocean are unsurpassed from this spacious, stately house, crafted from stone quarried by hand from the nearby Parker River.
The Head Lightkeeper's House gives guests an insight into the domestic life of the Lightstation's first keepers.
The well-equipped kitchen is ideal for those who want to self-cater. Alternatively, we can prepare a private dinner party, for a minimum of six guests.
There is an open fire in the dining room, which is separate to the spacious kitchen, which also includes a dining table.
A great location for relaxing after walking in the Otways, the Manager's House is filled with natural light.
All four bedrooms have heaters and there is a large wood stove to warm the open-plan lounge, dining and kitchen areas.
There is a deck off the lounge, which is a great spot to while away a summer's afternoon.
Note: Pricing is subject to change, and a minimum stay period and other conditions may apply. You should confirm pricing with the property owner.
