‘relax@macs’ is an easy-care, relaxing home away from home, and a holiday here can help you recharge the batteries so that you can go home refreshed. There's a lot to do, or you can just do nothing. It takes only one holiday at Macs to get hooked! It’s a great place for families and also ideal for one or two couples who are just looking to share time away together.

The elevated cottage consists of 3 bedrooms; one with a double bed, one with 2 single beds and the third with 1 single bed. All beds have electric blankets. There is a bathroom and separate toilet. The fully equipped kitchen has fridge, microwave, crockery, cutlery and all the necessary cooking equipment.

There is a large gas BBQ on the back deck, with a spare full gas bottle handy. And the decks at the front and back are a great place for spending lazy mealtimes or just watching the local birdlife, including rosellas, kookaburras and the curious and amazing bush turkeys.

TV, DVD player and CD player are there to keep you entertained if needed. In Winter, there are feather doonas on the beds, and the slow-combustion heater in the lounge ensures that you'll be snug and warm throughout the house.

There's a good selection of books for adults and children, and also games and toys for the young ones. And of course the rockpool in front of the Surf Club is a wonderful safe swimming or wading spot for the littlies, and there’s also a playground opposite the beach. You can enjoy a coffee, breakfast or lunch at Macs’ Surf Club or stroll along the beach to Copacobana to one of its beach-side cafes.

Bed linen is provided; just bring your own towels.

Location

MacMasters Beach (Macs) is a scenic 90 min drive north of Sydney CBD on the freeway and is located on the Central Coast between Copacabana and Bouddi National Park. And ‘relax@macs’ is just a five to six minute walk to the beach or the lagoon.

Local Attractions

Macs is a holiday paradise, with patrolled beaches offering great surf, the lagoon for windsurfing and fishing, and nearby Bouddi National Park with its wonderful walking tracks and secluded beaches. The protected rock pool and lagoon at Macs are ideal for young children and we have boogie boards and a small fibreglass boat available for their use.

Macs seems a lifetime away from the shopping malls and arcades of so many beachside townships, and yet it’s easy to get basic necessities from the local fruit shop. And there are excellent shopping facilities at nearby Kincumber, with good bakery, butcher and fruit and vegetable stores, and Coles open from 6am to 10pm daily.

Just a walk along the beach to Copacabana are coffee shops, beachfront restaurants, a bottle shop and bakery.
Other beautiful beaches located between 10 and 30 minutes away are Copacabana, Avoca and Terrigal to the North and Killcare and Putty Beach to the South. If you feel like taking the children for a bit of fishing or decide to take your boat out on the Brisbane Waters, wonderful Hardy’s Bay is just a short distance from Killcare Beach. And the cafes and restaurants there offer fabulous local seafood and produce.

Erina Fair is only a 15-20 minute drive away and offers great shopping and cinemas. And of course there is the renowned Avoca Beach cinema, which was voted ‘The Best Regional Independent Cinema in Australia’ in 2010 and 2011.

So a holiday at Macs ticks all the boxes for a stress-free break whether you’re with your partner, friends or family. You can just relax, rest and enjoy all the natural beauty that the bushland and beach have to offer, or combine it with nearby entertainment and dining opportunities just a drive away. The choices are endless!
