Description

Moonah Tree Beach Retreat - Is a self contained architecturally designed beach house at Rye.

All guests need to bring is their own linen and food to enjoy a great holiday in high quality family style accomodation at affordable rates.

Property Features

Moonah Tree Beach Retreat is a three bedroom, one bathroom holiday house.

The layout is open plan with all rooms leading off one main kitchen/family/loungeroom. This room features high vaulted ceilings and a huge glass sliding door which leads out to a back deck. In one end of the deck is the 'Moonah Tree' after which the house is named. The Moonahs were once abundant native trees but their number has declined due to urban development. Our architect preserved the two trees on our site, so that present and future generations have them to enjoy. The second Moonah is located at the back of the property where it affords shade to a flat area of lawn reserved for the kid's 'Tent City'. This powered and lit camp site is set aside just for the kids, as it's off limits to the grown ups. Here the kids can safely pitch their tents and camp away from annoying mums and dads.

The house can accomodate up to two small families. There is one bathroom with a shower and hip bath inside the house, plus a second hot and cold (beach) shower under the house in the garage. Guests can use the beach shower in relative privacy on their return from beach outings or alternatively backyard campers can use it as a second shower during the warmer months of the year.

Moonah Tree Beach Retreat provides safe, comfortable accomodation for guests without disrupting the natural environment. We trust you will find it a great place for you and your family to enjoy your annual holiday and we hope to see you again soon.

Please note: We now have an apartment located opposite the beach at Rosebud West. If this house is booked out, please take a moment to view our apartment. Rosebud Foreshore Apartment 1 can be found at Stayz.com/13137.

Facilities

Two bedrooms have queen size beds and the third has two singles. There is also an extra single mattress and a double sofa/bed. Guests must bring their own linen, however pillows are provided. A large screen CTV with a Dvd player is provided along with a stereo cd player for guest's entertainment. A natural gas BBQ and outdoor setting are provided for El-Fresco dinning.

The back yard is fully enclosed and guests can bring their family pet by arrangement with the owners.

  • "Had a great holiday at Moonah. The house was situated in a quiet position, handy to bay or ocean beaches. House was easy to maintain. Kids loved having their own private tent site too. It was great also to be able to have our dogs with us too. I would thoroughly recommend a family holiday at Moonah Tree Beach Retreat."

  • "Lovely property with all the modern conveniences you would expect in your own home, making our stay both relaxing and enjoyable. In addition the owner was most accomodating in scheduling our booking and meeting our needs, ensuring minimal effort on our behalf. It was the first time we rented a house in distinct to hotel/apartment accomodation but will not be the last, we will definitely be returning to Moonah Tree in the future."

  • "We were all very impressed with the accomodation provided at Moonah Tree Beach Retreat, it had all the modern appliances that anyone should require and the heating system worked a treat in the middle of June. It was very clean upon arrival and for the price I don't think that you could find a better house. We'll definitely be back!"
