Locality

Macleay Island is home to around 4000 residents and is situated at the southern end of Moreton Bay Marine Park. A sub-tropical paradise only 40 minutes by vehicle barge from the bayside village of Redland Bay. Remember to book your barge well ahead of time to ensure holiday plans go without a hitch, as barges are usually quite full. Book direct through Stradbroke Ferries. If you are travelling to Macleay by passenger ferry no bookings are required. This trip takes 15 minutes, see "Bay Island Transit" for details. The cottage is located about 5kms north of the Jetty.

Property

Built using environmentally friendly materials, the timber cottage sits on a large landscaped lot with tropical gardens and birdlife galore. A private deck out the back features gas BBQ and outdoor lounge overlooking the frog pond and fountain. Inside, two airconditioners guarantee all year round comfort.
You will need to bring with you personal items such as soap, shampoo etc. Also beach towels, insect repellant and a flashlight are suggested.
