This holiday house is ideal if you need to chill out and relax in a comfortable, spacious beach house very close to the beach. Enjoy the added bonus of a tennis court in a lovely garden setting.
The main living area consists of open plan living, dining and kitchen with French doors to the garden. The functional, well-equipped kitchen was designed to cope with many cooks and will meet the needs of every budding masterchef. A servery window to the new hooded bbq and outdoor dining area make outdoor entertaining easy. The living room has a TV, DVD player and stereo.
In addition to the main living there is also a playroom and a reading room/parents' retreat. The playroom is ideal for kids to chill out, play, listen to music or watch TV. Board games, puzzles and lots of books keep everyone entertained. Near the master bedroom there is a small room ideal for reading or relaxing with french doors opening to the deck.
The spacious parents room has a queen bed, a window seat and a large walk in robe, vanity and large walk in shower. Three other large bedrooms all have built in robes. All bedrooms are spacious with cathedral ceilings and have new, quality carpet.
There is a powder room (toilet), a main bathroom with shower, toilet and vanity. Another bathroom has a bath and vanity, and there is the master ensuite mentioned above. Indoor showers have quality Methven Satinjet shower roses. The laundry has a new washing machine and external access to the outdoor hot/cold shower.
The house is essentially open-plan but the functional split/multi-level layout ensures all family members have their own space - a level for living, one for parents, another for children.
Being by the coast, Sorrento doesn't usually get the extreme heat experienced in Melbourne. The house was designed to take advantage of local weather conditions, coastal breezes and has ceiling fans. Hydronic heating throughout makes winter stays extremely comfortable. Energy efficiency extends to the use of solar hot water and water saving accessories.
In addition to the tennis court the outdoor areas include a basket ball ring, a slide and plenty of outdoor space. With the beach only a short walk away, you will love the outdoor hot and cold shower to rinse off sand.
This well equipped house is particularly suited to stays of a week or more. We prefer weekly bookings but may accept enquiries for less (min. two nights) during quiet times. Our reasonable rates are for stays up to a week. We are happy to discuss discounts for longer stays.

Note: Later this year we will change Bed 4 to accommodate a Queen and Bed 3 to take 2 x singles, so please contact us if this is what you are seeking. The house will be able to accommodate eight guests over the 2012-13 summer period.
All beds come with doona, pillows, mattress protector. Guests are required to BYO sheets, pillow slips, towels and t-towels. Linen can be hired if needed.
The house is conveniently located a very short walk to the beach and very close to a well stocked general store. In a quite residential street away from the hustle and bustle this is a relaxing place to stay.
Bay Beach: 200 metres - a very easy 5 minute walk.
Back Beach: 1 km - a beautiful view, worth the walk .
General Store: 400 metres - a well-stocked corner store.
Bus Stop: 200 metres - Bus will take you south to Portsea or up to Rye, Rosebud or Mornington.
