‘Fontenoy’ is a 1500 hectare beef property in the foothills of the Snowy Mountains, boadering the Kosciusko National Park. It is a beautiful property rising to 1400 meters with grazing land verging into wilderness.
The cottage is a renovated farm house. The house is warm, has a pretty outlook and a restful atmosphere.
We do not “entertain” our visitors, however we make you feel very welcome to share and enjoy our lovely environment. The cottage is situated in the center of the working area so visitors can observe a genuine beef farm in operation.There is something for everyone!
Trout Fishermen have access to 3 km frontage of Murrumbidgee River and 1 ha stocked farm dam
Skiers have a 40 minute drive to Selwyn Snowfields and 80 minutes to the Skitube
Tourists can explore the vast Snowy Mountains Scheme from this central location.
Walkers and nature lovers may explore all over the farm, climb Bugtown Mountain to view the Monaro below.
Wildlife lovers can observe many native birds and animals around the farm.
