Things to see

Yondah Beach House is located on Yorke Peninsula's infamous shipwreck coast only 25 km from Marion Bay and the spectacular Innes National Park.

One of South Australia's jewels, Innes National Park has it all. truly spectacular scenery, clifftop walks, the Cape Spencer lighthouse and the historic mining village of Inneston. It is also home to more than 100 species of bird including the rare western whipbird and malleefowl. The Park's high energy coastline makes it one of Australia's great surfing drawcards.

Marion Bay is a pretty little coastal town with jetty, general store and long, wide beaches. Relax on the sand with the best fish and chips ever. Or enjoy a great lunch at the fully-licensed restaurant in the Marion Bay Tavern. Better still try one of their wood-fired pizzas for dinner, they're to die for!

and do...

Butlers Beach, only 4 km away from Yondah, is famous for its salmon trout and mulloway. If you're into deep-sea fishing, you can launch your boat from the natural ramp at nearby Foul Bay or you can hire a fishing charter for the day from Marion Bay.

If you're touring the Edithburgh area, take the south coast scenic drive towards Port Moorowie - it's quite spectacular. First you are treated to a very 'War of the Worlds' experience as you pass through the wind farm then you find yourself negotiating the winding coast road past the Troubridge lighthouse literally on the cliff edge and with no crash barrier!

Southern Yorke Peninsula is one of South Australia's key diving areas. The Investigator Strait Heritage Trail features 28 shipwrecks and a wealth of marine life. Look for sealions, seahorses, Port Jackson sharks, huge eagle rays and the rare leafy sea dragon.
