The location of this generously proportioned apartment is Woolloomoolloo in a beautifully maintained art deco building It is on the second floor of this former Jaguar factory and is accessed by a modern lift from an impressive inner atrium with giant palms that reach to the sky.

The entry to the apartment is by a modernist curved hallway (good Feng Shui) which opens up to a massive open plan living space. On this lower level of the apartment is a modern kitchen featuring SMEG appliances, tableware for 6, and everything needed for food preparation including a Kenwood smoothie machine and a Nespresso Lattisima+.

The dining area features a wide benchtop breakfast bar to the kitchen, modernist stools by German designer Konstantin Grcic, and dramatically lit 3-dimentional artwork imported from Europe. Moving through to the open plan space, the large sitting room is upbeat and funky; with an inviting custom-built sectional sofa and a two ‘Eames chairs’.

A Sony entertainment centre that features a 55” 3D LCD flat screen TV, a pair of 3D glasses, surround sound speakers, amplifier/radio, region-free DVD player, and Blue-Ray disc player. However, the true highlight of this entertainment space is the 17 foot long artwork/light feature from the set of Baz Lurhmann’s Moulin Rouge.
The whole space is light and bright and all of the surrounding windows have Venetian blinds for light control. There is air conditioning on this level of the apartment, but is seldom required even in the height of summer due to the cross-ventilation.
The dynamic highlight of this residence is the massive outdoor rooftop terrace with a lush backdrop of greenery (with automatic timer irrigation system), the city skyline, and the Sydney Harbour Bridge/Opera House in the distance. This area is a very special place with comfortable lounge furnishings, a modern teak and stainless steel table set for 6, a four-burner BBQ (plus wok), and outdoor table ware.
The large umbrella awning is easily angled to give protection from the sun while you drink your morning coffee. At dusk it is quintessential Sydney, as the sun sets behind the city skyline to the soundtrack of lorikeets, currawongs, and cockatoos in the giant eucalyptus tree. Trees and shrubs line the approach to this romantic roof top area which is an important and essential part of the residence
The railway station is about 10 – 15 minutes walk and, as in all the surrounding areas in Woolloomooloo the trains pass quite close. They are in sight from the balcony and can be heard when passing. But after 24 hours like the locals, you may not even be aware of the sound as it mingles into the background.
On the upper level there is a spacious, modern bathroom with shower, his and hers sinks, and a Bosch washing machine and electric clothes drier.
On this level you will find beautiful timber flooring that enhances the furnishings and art.

The main bedroom has a new bed bed side tables with bed lights and chest of drawers. There is a plasma screen TV for your late night viewing.
During the day the floor to ceiling windows provide natural sunlight and a view of the wrap-around terrace. At night, the soft reading lights and view of the city skyline make this a very tranquil space. The curtains can also be drawn to have the ultimate privacy while you watch DVDs on the mini-entertainment centre, with surround sound. The built-in mirrored wardrobe has plenty of hanging space and ample storage. This room has great ventilation flow from the ever-present Harbour breezes; there is also a fan for your use if required.

The 2nd bedroom has a queen-sized sleigh bed, made of recycled Oregon Pine (used as ballast on ships from America):
All bed linen and towels are provided during your stay During the winter months there are heaters in the apartment available for you if needed.

During your stay we will arrange for someone from our staff to come to the apartment every two weeks to water and check the plants in the garden. This will be done by arrangement with you at a time to suit your convenience.
