An hour south of Sydney CBD, Lavender Cottage is the largest of 6 enchanting self-contained cottages: You can also rent Oatley, 3 double bedrooms, 1 bathroom Pottery 2 double bedrooms 2 bathrooms; Studio, 2 bedrooms 1 bathroom, Orchard 1 double bedroom, 1 bathroom and Eco 1 loft bedroom 1 bathroom. The tariff for all cottages is $100 per adult per midweek night and $125 per adult per Friday/Saturday night. Prices for longer stays by arrangement with the owner. Lavender Cottage is set in forty acres of formal gardens and bush. You can hire one of the cottages with friends and family for an unforgettable country holiday. We welcome all Weddings and Events and have a permanent marquee overlooking the lake and an all-weather Gazebo function room so you can hire the Entire Property for complete privacy. We host Corporate Conferences and Workshops of all kinds.
Lavender Cottage built in 1822 has a large kitchen with a large electric stove with gas hob, dishwasher, a separate dining room that seats 12. Upstairs a king sized bedroom with en suite, reverse cycle air conditioning, plus a single bed & office/sitting area. Lavender Cottage has been the hub for many large groups. wedding parties, writers' retreats, corporate conferences, golf weekends, family reunions, meditation groups, quilting and sewing groups to name but a few. With an outdoor BBQ area that seats 20 under a vine covered all weather pergola.
About the Other Cottages Oatley, Pottery, Studio and Orchard
Oatley Cottage has three generous bedrooms a brand new bathroom and beautiful country kitchen with a modern Rayburn range. Oatley has comfortable outdoor seating on the wide wrap-around verandah and barbeque facilities. The garden's centrepiece is an antique sandstone fountain, surrounded by formal plantings, which can be enjoyed from Oatleys wide verandahs. Pottery cottage overlooks the lake and Gazebo and has a fully fenced yard for pets. It has 2 double bedrooms each with an ensuite bathroom and a wide verandah that overlooks the lake. Studio Cottage has a double bedroom with en suite bathroom and a cute loft bedroom with two single beds it is made of convict sandstone and has a open fire as well as a slow combustion stove. It also has a fully fenced yard for pets. Orchard cottage also overlooks the lake and Gazebo from its balcony bedroom and french windows. It has a large queen bedroom upstairs with en suite and a further single daybed and office retreat.

Situated just an hour south of Sydney, Little Forest Country Cottages has 6 enchanting self-contained cottages, set on forty acres available for short or long stays. We welcome Weddings and Events of all kinds. The Cottages are available for hire individually, or many of our guests book other cottages for family reunions and celebrations. For Weddings you can hire the Entire Property for a magical ceremony in the Gazebo overlooking the lake, followed by your reception in our Marquee that seats 170. We regularly host Corporate Conferences and Workshops of all kinds. In addition, Little Forest's rural setting and unique historical buildings are available for hire as a Location for photography or film shoots. The cottages are appointed with delightful antique furniture and crockery, deep claw-foot baths, and cosy slow combustion stoves, with ample supplies of firewood. They have comfortable outdoor settings, hammocks and barbeques and your children will enjoy the trampoline, tree house and swings. We are also pet-friendly; the four pawed members of the family are well catered for. We provide snug kennels and three of our cottages have fully fenced yards. Hector the donkey will greet you on your arrival. For the kids we have friendly farm animals to pat, and they can collect the breakfast eggs from our chooks every morning. Enjoy the bush tracks around the property on foot or by mountain bike. Astronomers, bring a telescope along to view the amazing night sky. Train lovers may even see the 3801 steaming by.The stylish villages of the Southern Highlands are close by and offer a wide range of dining options and great coffee. We can book you on a cool climate food and wine trail or you can browse through the antique galleries and bookshops. A visit to the world-renowned Bradman Museum is a must for the cricket fan and for the artistic there are a number of galleries, including the Sturt Contemporary Craft Centre in Mittagong, and the Milk Factory Gallery in Bowral. For the historian, take a step back in time and visit Berrima one of the best preserved colonial villages in Australia. All of these attractions are just minutes up the road.

Prices
Min 2 night stay for all bookings. An Agent Booking Fee of $35 applies per cottage per booking. Prices are for the first 8 guests. $25/person/night up to a maximum of 12 on beds with an additional 2 rollaways available upon request.

Stay 3 nights on a weekend and add the third night at half price OR Stay 4 nights mid-week and only pay for 3. Request at time of booking. Excludes Public holidays and School holidays.
