‘Pooh” Cottage
Named after Winnie the Pooh this beautifully renovated
cottage was first built in 1833 as the gate keeper’s house
for neighbouring ‘Wentworth House’.
Situated only meters away from the Clyde River
in the historic town of Bothwell this place will take your
breath away. Whilst maintaining an authentic look,
Pooh Cottage is fitted with all modern facilities to give
you an enjoyable stay.
Just a short 5 minute stroll down the hill you find yourself
in the centre of Bothwell. The town itself has lots on offer
such as two historic hotels both of which
serve meals, a petrol station, a large
convenient store, a coffee shop and much more.
If you are in for a game of golf you can try your
luck on The oldest golf course in Australia, ‘Ratho”.
Just on the edge of town you find the award winning ‘Nant’ whisky
distillery and mill. You can just go for a quick taste at
the cellar door, book a guided tour or have a beautiful lunch.
Bothwell is approximately 1 hour drive from Hobart
airport.Located in the Central Highlands it is conveniently
situated for day trips to most Tasmanian sites of interest.

with a queen bed. An additionaltwo single foldout
beds are tucked away in one of the built-in cupboards
