RED BOX COTTAGE
This unique cottage is the only over-water holiday accommodation available on pristine Lake Tuross. This hidden gem will be familiar to all those regulars of Red Box Pizza. Sadly, Red Box Pizza is closed but this frees up the house for lucky holiday stayers.
Red Box Cottage has 3 bedrooms and with our recently upgraded bedding, it now has 2 queen rooms and 3rd bedroom with 2 single and 1 double, providing comfortable sleeping for 8 people. With 2 bathrooms, this house is ideal for 2 or 3 couples and kids. The well-equipped, all stainless steel kitchen with quality appliances is a joy to cook in and laundry facilities are provided. We have just added a Bosch dishwasher for those who have better things to do than washing up!
The views of the lake and Horse Island are unsurpassed. Sunset, viewed from the dining room or the large, sheltered deck over the water, is never to be forgotten. In fact, even the shower in the second bathroom comes with a view.
Next door to the Pickled Octopus and the Tuross Boatshed, you couldn't be in a better place if you don't feel like cooking. But if you've just caught a fresh haul from the Lake - from the deck or your boat - you can cook on the BBQ and eat on the deck where you have your tinny and kayaks tied up.
Just minutes from shops and beaches, there is nothing else like this in Tuross. Bring your own sheets, towels, and food. We'll provide essential condiments, tea, coffee, sugar and some tinned food (we ask that you replace any items that you use), pillows, blankets, doonas and starter toiletries.
Secure fencing mean that your friendly, well-behaved pet is welcome, but please not on the beds or lounges. There are quite a few steps which might be tough for older pooches.
There is a carport on site with space for 2 vehicles.
For serious fishermen, launch your tinny from the public boat ramp a few hundred metres away and tie up at the deck.
Parents please note that the deck has no safety rail.
NO PARTY POLICY
Red Box Cottage is in a beautiful and peaceful place on serene Lake Tuross. There are permanent neighbours and we do not want a buck's night, schoolies party, or drunken gathering happening in our house. Consequently we do not accept such bookings and will quickly end the stay of tenants who abuse our trust. We welcome groups who can enjoy themselves in a reasonably quiet and reasonably sober way.
