Enjoy the rustic luxury of our three bedroom, two bathroom rural retreat set on 8 secluded acres, with views of the surrounding mountains and beautiful bushland. With no neighbours in sight, other than the many native animals (including King Parrots, Kangaroos and Wallabies, Possums, Echidnas and the occasional Wombat) , you will revel in the peace and tranquility of the property.

Although secluded, it is only a 10-15 minute drive to the the many attractions of Bathurst.

The house is uniquely styled, with the creative use of old and new. It features recycled materials such as an 1870s terrace staircase leading to the mezzanine main "loft" bedroom and living area, a confessional door rescued from an 1800s church, and leadlight windows and doors.

A fantastic hand-built wood-burning pizza oven and entertaining gazebo will encourage you to enjoy alfresco dining in the beautiful surrounds.

For the kids there is a great elevated cubby amongst the trees, a trampoline and many toys and games.

Accomodation

The main bedroom (with ensuite) is a mezzanine loft with an upstairs living area. Enjoy the views from the "Juliet" balcony off the bedroom.

There's an expansive open-plan downstairs living area with soaring 7m cathedral ceilings and French doors which open onto a large deck surrounding the house on 3 sides, which overlooks the pretty, fully-fenced dam.

To stay cozy there is reverse cycle aircon/ heating and a large slow-combustion wood stove. The house features stunning jarrah floor boards, timber plantation shutters, and a gourmet fully equipped kitchen with stainless steel Bosch appliances.

2 bedrooms downstairs include a double bedroom with french doors opening onto the deck, and a children's room with double bunks and a toddler bed. Electric blankets are provided.

Nearby Attractions

Bathurst, which is 10-15 minutes away offers many interesting attractions including - The Bathurst Regional Art Gallery, The Australian Fossil and Mineral Museum, Mt Panorama Racing Museum and many excellent restaurants and cafes.

Explore the historic local villages - Tarana, Rockley, Perthville, Millthorpe, Wattle Flat, Sofala and Hill End where you will find interesting local pubs, cafes, wineries and galleries.

There are scenic short drives to the Blue Mountains (1hr), Cowra, Orange (1 hour), Mudgee, Oberon (and the famous Mayfield Gardens), Portland (20 min) and Lithgow and the Abercrombie Caves and Jenolan Caves (1hour)
