This wonderful cottage is the perfect base from which to explore Daylesford, Trentham, Musk, Kyneton, Hepburn and so many other towns!
Arrive and open the complimentary bottle of wine, dock your Ipod, and just relax. Or, turn on the TV and pop in a DVD which you can watch from the couch or from bed.
Fire up the gas BBQ and cook up a feast using produce from our local providores, farmers markets and specialty shops. We're proud to say our region is a foodies paradise!
Light Breakfast provisions, including, muesli, fresh milk, spreads, teas and coffee are there for your first morning. There is also an electric 2 burner cooktop, pots and pans, microwave, toaster and kettle for your use.
Quiet and secluded, Gatekeepers is enveloped by gorgeous gardens including rhododendrons, roses and towering birches.
We are small pet friendly and your pet is most welcome. The property is unfenced but you will enjoy many long country walks. We do ask you to supply your own pet bedding and pet towels and not allow your pet to sit on any furniture. A $50 pet fee applies and will be added to the tariff.

My husband and I and our dog stayed in the delightful studio cottage during a real cold snap. The heating and hot water were fantastic! The cottage is very comfortable and tastefully furnished with a good range of reading matter and DVDs to watch while snuggled up in bed. There are also the thoughtful touches of complimentary toiletries, tea, coffee, bread and milk. The countryside is lovely and perfect for long doggie walks. It's just a few minutes' drive into Daylesford and close to Hepburn Springs. It's wonderfully quiet for lazy sleep-ins. I heartily recommend the cottage for a couple's weekend away. We hope to return in summer to experience the countryside abloom with wildflowers! Thanks again for a lovely stay!

I loved it!
The gatekeeper's cottage exceeded our expecations, very warm & cosy. I would recommend it to anyone who wishes to be close to town, in a quiet location, a little treasure to visit!
