Port Douglas is the perfect destination for a well deserved getaway! It can only be described as a sensation for the senses - Rainforest, Reef and palm fringed Sandy Beaches and it's famous gastronomic excellence!
The Ramada Resort continues with this tradition of excellence being nestled amongst ancient rainforest, beautiful lagoons and waterfalls. It's a real delight when you enter the resort complex as the atmosphere has an immediate soothing and relaxing effect on the senses.
Our privately owned King Deluxe room is spacious, light filled and comfortable! An ideal room to just kick back and relax and soak up all it's comforts! This room is the larger room type with more spacious main room area and larger bathroom with corner bath and twin vanity basins. The king bed is very comfortable and provides a good nights sleep - should you require extra bedding there is a sofa bed available in the room. Total maximum of guests allowed is 4.
Once fully recharged and energised again you may wish to get out and experience the World Heritage Rainforests, Great Barrier Reef or the many attractions, tours and activities the region has to offer. The Ramada Resort is the perfect base to go exploring!

"We found the unit to be spotless, large and tastefully furnished and great value for
money. The king bed was very comfortable and was great to be on the top floor for added
privacy. The bathroom is very large and we each had our own sink! The corner bath was great for soaking after a big day out. The living area is large enough to sitand enjoy the flat screen TV and has a comfortable couch and coffee table. There is also a handy desk area for computer use.
We ate at the resort several times for lunch and the food was inexpensive and excellent quality. They also run daily specials. The restaurant overlooks the pool and waterfall, a most relaxing rainforest setting.
The resort is in a great location and we enjoyed walking on 4 mile beach, a level easy walk. We occasionally took the shuttle back from town to the Ramada and it was very frequent and only $4 per person. On Sundays they run the steam train from the Marina and we took Puffing Billy from the marina to the final destination of St.Crispins which is only a short walk across the road to the resort. The journey is only half and hour and a lot of fun. You can also do a return trip if you prefer.
We found this accommodation absolutely perfect for our needs for a break away and to discover Port Douglas. I would highly recommend it to anyone."
