This charming fully self contained property can accommodate up to 5 guests; a queen sized bed in the master bedroom, two single beds in the 2nd bedroom that can convert into another queen sized bed and a sofa bed in the separate study nook. maisie bird is perfect for a romantic weekend getaway or a break for the family.
Maisie Bird is situated 60 kilometres north east of Melbourne, at the foot of the Yarra Ranges. Healesville is the centre of the Yarra Valley food and wine region. This pretty town is surrounded by vineyards and gourmet eateries, mountains, forests and rolling hills. The majestic Tarrawarra Museum of Modern Art and Vineyard is a five minute drive away. Family attractions include Maroondah Reservoir, Hedgend Maze, Badger Weir, the internationally famed Healesville Wildlife Sanctuary and the recently opened Yarra Valley Chocolaterie and Icecreamery. These destinations are perfect for a picnic or a leisurely stroll to take in the tall mountain ash forests and lush greenery. Pick up some local produce at one of the regular monthly markets held at Rochford winery, the Healesville and Yarra Glen Racecourse markets, and Organic Farmer’s Market. Its Harvest time in the Valley and there are fabulous events and festivals including the Yarra Valley Food and Wine festival.
