This wonderful property sits at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac looking out across Culburra Beach towards Crookhaven Heads. Nestled amongst the dunes in a beachfront nature reserve, you will awaken to the sounds of the ocean and the native birdlife, just lift your head off the pillow to watch the waves rolling in, and perhaps the migrating whales and dolphins that swim regularly in front of the house.
The White Horses lifestyle has something for everyone...wake up to the sunrise over the sea, walk barefoot down to the surf for a morning dip, take a walk along the beach and surrounding headlands, have a long lunch on the deck, play backyard cricket on the lawn, or read and watch the kids play in the fully fenced back garden. Top it all off with a bbq and a cold drink on the rear deck as the sun sets over Curley’s Bay and the mountains of the Morton National Park.
Designed to showcase the beachfront location and relaxed lifestyle, the house is a comforting home away from home for you and your friends and family, while you enjoy time away in the beautiful surrounds of the Shoalhaven and Jervis Bay area. A north easterly aspect bathes the front of the house in morning sun, and there is no better spot to unwind as you enjoy breakfast overlooking the breaking waves of the Pacific. White Horses offers guests a sanctuary to relax and be self-indulgent in a carefree few days or weeks. Just moments from the beach, a sandy path leads from the front door to the stretch of golden sand that is Culburra Beach.

The Property
The property is located at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac midway along Culburra Beach and has ample off-street parking for 3 cars or even the boat.
The house has been designed to feel open, airy, and comfortable. There are large sliding doors to the decks, 360 degree windows flooding the house with light, and a lovely internal pitched roof. Spread over 2 levels the home includes 5 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, open plan living/dining area, and rumpus/cinema room.
The modern kitchen features a large chef’s bench and high quality appliances, a great range of utensils, platters, glasses and quality kitchen knives. The pantry remains stocked with all the essentials – Twinings teas, instant and ground coffee, drinking chocolate, olive oil, flour, sauces and spices. Some basics are also provided to get you started, things like cleaning supplies, dishwasher tablets, toilet paper, kitchen towel, sunscreen, body wash and soaps.
The kitchen overlooks the large open plan living area and its spectacular ocean views, and also those across the back garden. Expansive polished timber floors lead to front and rear entertaining decks, complete with brand new Turbo Elite RQT stainless steel barbecue. The fully fenced native coastal garden has lush lawns and a hand-built dining area designed with long lunches in mind.
The house has a relaxed feel, but is finished to a high standard, with thought given to the practicalities and luxuries that we know will make your stay all the more memorable.
The five bedrooms and two bathrooms comfortably cater for up to 10 guests (6 adults and 4 children), with a separate nursery with a cot for babies or toddlers (on request). All the bedrooms have built-in wardrobes and drawer space, and they are well-dressed with high thread count linen. Upstairs, the master suite includes a superking size bed, wrap-around windows and glass doors opening onto the front balcony to frame the amazing sea views. Downstairs, this is complemented by two well-appointed queen rooms, a double bunk room. There are two modern bathrooms, one of them ensuite to the master, both with showers and baths, plus a separate toilet downstairs, and there is also an outdoor hot/cold shower to rinse off after a day on the beach.
The main open plan living and dining area captures 360 degree views of the ocean, the lake and the mountains, the 3.5m reclaimed timber dining table seats 10 comfortably and the enormous leather couches provide plenty of space to stretch out and take in the views. A rumpus/cinema room is the perfect spot to take in a movie on the 60” LED TV or catch that must-see show on a complete Austar package. We have an extensive range of DVDs for the kids and adults.
High speed wireless broadband access is provided throughout the house for our guests, and we have compiled an extensive “handbook” filled with ideas for enjoying the local area....
Local Area
On a peninsular at the northern tip of world-famous Jervis Bay, Culburra is a small seaside town and a popular holiday, fishing and surfing location. It has two surf beaches, Culburra Beach and Warrain Beach. The town is flanked by the Crookhaven River to the north and west, and Lake Wollumboola to the south.
The house is a picturesque drive of less than 2.5 hours down the coast from Sydney, 3 hours from Canberra, and only 15 minutes from Nowra.
The local shops have everything you need, including Woolworths for groceries, butcher, pharmacy, post-office, surf-shop, DIY supplies, DVD rental, fresh fruit/veg, bottle-shop, newsagent and bakery. Culburra Bowls Club & RSL houses a Chinese take-away, and screens all the major sports events.
