A heavenly apartment under stained glass windows with large, downstairs accommodation comprising of a lounge/dining & kitchen area with hallway leading to two bedrooms (one with a queen sized bed and one with double bed) and private bathroom with separate bath, shower and separate toilet. Providing peace and tranquility, this luxury haven offers an experience to remember.
The apartment is unique with original stained glass windows and 100 year-old Baltic pine floors. The Church has been completely renovated whilst retaining its harmonious and unique atmosphere. Privacy is guaranteed with a separate guest entrance and the apartment having it's own separate locked internal and external doors.
The large 2 bedroom (100 square metre) privately accessed section of the church is for your sole use even if you don't utilise the second bedroom. You are not sharing with the host or other guests, you have sole occupancy. You only pay for the second bedroom ($50 per head per night) if you bring family or friends with you and use that second room. The church is not suitable for children between the ages of 1-10 years due to stairs, mezzanines and cathedral ceilings in other areas of the church that guests at times wish to access and view. Babies under 12 months can be accommodated and a porta cot is available.
The Church is ideally situated just off Magill Precinct, well known for its antique and designer shops. We are also a five-minute drive from Adelaide's City Centre, and only a few minutes away from the cosmopolitan dining and shopping areas of The Parade, Norwood.
The Church offers a wonderful restful and meditative atmosphere if you are looking for a peaceful holiday break. If you are in South Australia for business, or to tour the fabulous beaches and wine districts, we are on hand to assist or help in any way.

I can highly recommend St Marks. It could easily be one of those poster destinations on the websites front page. Spacious, atmospheric and full of character, it is gems like this property that make using online sites so appealing. And a great property is little comfort without great hosts. Karin had gone to a lot of trouble to ensure all that we needed was at hand. She had been in contact with us before our arrival to see if there was anything she could do for us, and had sourced loads of brochures and was a wealth of knowledge as to what Adelaide had to offer on our arrival. She also made us feel extremely welcome, and that nothing was too much trouble, which is a rarity these days What a truly relaxing place to stay, very peaceful, very clean and well presented, we could not have asked for anything else. It was very close to all amenities, with excellent shops and eating places about 5 mins walk. We really enjoyed our stay, are happy to recommend it to all and if we return to Adelaide we will be sure to book this wonderful place again. Major Adelaide events are nearby - 5 minutes by car or a short bus ride into the city centre. These include the Tour Down Under in January, Fringe Festival, Festival of Arts, Womadelaide, Clipsal 500 in Feb/March, Tasting Australia 2012, Cabaret festival in June 8-23, Guitar festival in August, OZAsia festival in October, The Adelaide Convention Centre, Adelaide's premier conference centre and Adelaide Casino are just 3 minutes away as is the National Wine Centre, Adelaide Cricket Ground, Adelaide University, Uni SA, Royal Adelaide Hospital, the Art Gallery and Museum. In Frome Road is The Adelaide Zoo the home of Adelaide's Giant Pandas. Sports fans will love the award-winning Santos Tour Down Under and Clipsal 500 V8 car race. Visit Morialta Conservation Park 5 minutes by car and walk to the waterfall.

Set in the leafy Eastern suburbs of Adelaide yet minutes from the city and the vibrant, urban delights of Norwood, The Church provides distinctive accommodation ideally suited for a business executive or one or two couples. The church is not suitable for children. Within the gorgeous setting of a 1910 Church, converted to a spacious private home, you will find quality furnishings and plenty of character as you recline peacefully under the stained glass windows. The accommodation is Size:1076ft2 / 100m2. St Marks is diagonally opposite Maurie Clayton Reserve and a few kilometres to Morialta Conservation Park.
A short walk will bring you to numerous restaurants, shops and pubs. A few minutes by car will take you into the business districts, universities, the Central Market and the nightlife of Adelaide.
We are happy to have a chat, or to stay private as we are guided by our guests' preferences. Those requiring total privacy and not wishing to interact with anyone will find this easy due to a separate guest entrance and the apartment having it's own locked internal and external doors.

This heavenly abode is unique and unlike any other with stained glass windows and hundred year old baltic pine floors. Providing peace and tranquilly this luxury haven offers an experience to remember.
The church is just 5 minutes from the Adelaide City centre, and The Parade, Norwood, famous for its cafe culture and diverse dining options as it is for its high street fashion, hair and beauty, gourmet food, and home-wares and home furnishings.
The church is a 3 minute walk to public transport on Magill Road where the Go Zone at Bus Stop No. 6, takes 5 minutes to get to the city centre.
You may prefer to walk to the city centre by cutting through the beautiful Botanical Gardens adjacent to the grounds of WOMAD. This takes approximately 25-35 minutes from the church.

We are a 15 minute drive to the Adelaide Hills Wine district and approximately a 60-70 minute drive to the southern and/or northern wine districts.

A beautiful building with very comfortable, private accommodation. Karen and Wilson were the perfect hosts. They were a step ahead of our needs and queries as we were first-time visitors to Adelaide. Both discreet and informative they were very helpful. Located near the centre this makes 'The Church Apartment' ideal accommodation for tourists, and it was so so quiet. This apartment is well-heated, has electric blankets on the very comfortable beds. Thoroughly recommend this place - although I hesitate to do so as once word gets around about how charming it is we may not be able to stay here again as I am guessing it will book ahead rapidly.
