You may not have heard of Somers – the locals tend to like it that way. Hidden on the far side of the Peninsula we have been lucky enough to avoid most of the advances in modern society… Our general store doubles as the local café, and our Yacht club as the local spot for a drink. Beyond the walking tracks, gardens and occasional road the place is just how we imagine it was a few decades ago. And this does not seem to be such a bad thing…
Not far away are the many splendours of the Peninsula. Golf courses, day spas, national parks and art galleries; you can follow your passion where ever it takes you. All the Peninsula’s premium wineries are no more than fifteen minutes’ drive away, and you can even surf a couple of beaches down at Point Leo. Just remember you will lose a few hours here and there; that just seems to be the way it is down here…
The house itself is the real prize however, and you may find you don’t leave it as much as planned. Set up for three couples with Queen Beds, two entertaining and dining areas, and a large outdoor decking; you are surrounded by 1.6 acres of natural flora that is occasionally home to the local Koala Ted.
Perfect for those moments when you would like to shift to a more gentle gear, treat yourself to the wonder that is Somers.
