Close to Lakes Entrance, entertainment and 90 mile beach not far away. Take a 6 minute drive into town and visit the shops and restuarants. Or just relax and take in the views from your own veranda. .
Take a lunch or dinner cruise to local winery or cruise the lakes & lunch at Metung Hotel. Both great meals.
Great fishing in the lakes or surf fishing. Lakes are ideal for boating and jet skis and there are great beaches for surfing or swimming.
There is a golf course, aquarium & shell museum, mini golf & go-karts and many walking and cycling circuits around town.
Four wheel drive tracks just out of town. Great drives, travel to Buchan Underground Caves or try Wild Caving. Little River Gorge and McKillops Bridge not for the faint hearted.
We have a 'no party policy' as it is in a residential area and noise is to be kept to a minimum.
Bedrooms and Linen
Each bedroom contains 1 x Double Bed and 2 x Single Beds set up as bunks . We supply all doona's and blackets and pillows . You will need to supply your own linen and towels and tea towels .Linen can be supplied for an extra cost.We also have a porta cot available .
Local Infomation
Lakes Entrance, situated at the entrance to the ocean for the most extensive lake systems in Australia, known as Gippsland Lakes, east of Bairnsdale in Victoria. Gippsland Lakes is renowned for its temperate weather, being warmer in winter than equivalent latitudes, making it a great escape from Melbourne in winter - or any time. Lakes Entrance is only 4 1/2 hours drive from Melbourne, heading towards the warmer climate of NSW, and only 8 hrs from Sydney - 3.1/2 hrs from Canberra. The lakes provide a perfect venue for water based holiday activities. Offering ocean and sheltered lake fishing, ideal for boating, fishing and all water sports, including surfing at Red Bluff. Lakes Entrance is known as Australia’s Seafood Capital and boasts a large fishing port with an abundance of seafood available from the Fisherman’s Co-op or directly from the many trawlers. There are many parks in the area, including rainforests, wetlands and even wilderness coast, abounding in bird life. A short stroll across the footbridge takes you to the 90-mile beach. As the largest town on the Lakes system, and with Princess Highway No 1 servicing the town it is great for a stop-over or a holiday destination. There are many sporting clubs, restaurants, and entertainment venues. Other towns around Gippsland Lakes include Metung and Painsville and Loch Sport. Loch Sport is the only town offering road access to the spectacular 90 Mile Ocean Beach. Gippsland Lakes provides a unique place for a rare LAKE and OCEAN BEACH HOLIDAY.
