Set amongst two acres of tranquil garden and bush land and within close proximity to many of The Mornington Peninsula wineries, restaurants and beaches, The Bittern Railway Cottage is immaculately presented and designed to suit couples seeking a romantic weekend away or a small family who is looking for a tranquil environment to relax. The cottage is nestled amongst a fully fenced bush land setting at the end of a quiet road.
The large studio style cottage was only recently built using the finest of materials and furnishings and features a beautiful four poster queen sized bed, open wood fire, television and chesterfield lounges in the main room. There is a single bed and porta cot available to use also.
The cottage features a self contained kitchenette that can be used to prepare small meals and a bathroom with a large spa bath and shower. Continental breakfast, tea and coffee will be supplied also.
Nearby Facilities
The Bittern Fields shopping centre is only five minutes drive away and features a supermarket, pharmacy, post office, hairdressers, take away food outlets, café, bakery and other specialty stores.
The Cottage is ideal for those interested in fishing with access to Westernport Bay only five kilometers away at either Hastings or Stony Point. We have ample room to park your boat if you wish to bring it along!
Somers and Balnarring feature family friendly beaches situated within ten kilometers drive. Dolphins and seals can often be spotted at these beautiful clean beaches.
There are great places to shop for something unique with the popular Bittern Sunday Market held weekly and the Tyabb Packing house. Both of these are only a short drive away and are perfect if you are interested in antiques and collectables.
From spring to autumn The Balnarring Races and Emu Plains Market is only five minutes drive away.
The historic Coolart Wetlands and Homestead is just ten kilometers down the road and a lovely place for a picnic or just a stroll through the lovely grounds.
We are also situated within four kilometers to the Cerberus Navy Base.
