Bellbird Studio is a free standing cabin sheltered underneath a riparian forest canopy situated on our Australian Lowline Cattle stud. The stud is on the outskirts of Kenilworth in the Heart of the Mary Valley. This is a birdwatchers paradise only 40 mins from Noosa beaches and 20 mins from the famous Eumundi Markets.
The studio was originally built by an artist and has been recently renovated to provide a unique "Glamping" experience. You can build your own fire under the stars or be wrapped in our fluffy bathrobes in front of the studio's wood heater.
There is a heated spa and alfresco "bush" shower located on the covered northen deck with private bush views. There is also a flushing septic toilet, indoor shower and vanity on the eastern deck.
The king ensemble with 100% cotton linen will ensure you a luxurious and deep sleep. The internal kitchenette combined with a gas BBQ on the deck will meet your holiday culinary needs. You have a choice of inside, deck or open fireside dining and wineing. Seafood and local cheese platters can be organised by proir arrangement.
We have aproximately 100 acres of bush, forestry and vineyard available for you to explore including "The Bluff" for the more adventurous. Kyacking is a popular activity on our Mary River and the Obi Obi Creek. A short marked walk commencing from the back of the studio takes you into some of the last remaining privately owned original rainforest in this area containing massive buttress fig trees.
You can tour the Blackall range visiting Maleny, Montville,Flaxton and Mapleton's many craft shops, gallerys and resturants. The Sunshine Coast is famous for it's markets and of course there is allways the Noosa beaches, rivers and lakes to spend the day at. Kenilworth is surrounded by magnificent National Parks and walks.
Your get away at the Bellbird Studio can be as relaxing or as active as you want it to be. The possibilities are endless and the choice is yours.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bellbird Studio. Listening to bellbirds at night and waking up to the sound of the whipbirds and kookaburras was a delight. The spa was so relaxing and romantic, especially with the rain on the first night of our stay. The outdoor shower was great, better than being indoors. We had a very relaxing stay here with only the sounds of nature which was a nice change from cars and lawnmowers! We saw the very friendly owner, John, briefly when we arrived and as we were leaving but apart from that we were left alone to take in our surroundings. We were able to take Rolo for walks off the leash wherever we wanted to around the property. Unfortunately, John and Kym didn't agree to swap lives with us so we had to return to the city, however, we will be back to try and convince them another time.

My husband and I stayed at Bellbird Studio for 3 nights and it was not long enough. You find yourself situated in this wonderful cabin surrounded by rain forest and the sounds of birds. All you see is foliage from every window you look out. There is a wonderful spa right outside your door that you can relax in day or night. Highly recommended for relaxation and unwinding from everyday life.

This beautiful, comfortable, private and well equipped cottage is the perfect weekend getaway as its only two hours drive from Brisbane and is nestled in really beautiful bush land on John and Kym's farm. We spent two nights here when it was raining and flooding so we just spent most of our time sitting in the outdoor spa admiring the beautiful scenery, enjoying the peacefulness and watching the water rush past in the nearby creek. This cabin has everything you need and more for a perfect romantic weekend getaway.

We stayed at the Bellbird Studio for 4 nights and thoroughly enjoyed the peace and quiet and the genuine hospitality of Kym and John. Our furchild Gemi also enjoyed exploring the property. If we had been forced to stay a bit longer due to the heavy rains that fell just after we left we wouldn't have complained.

We really enjoyed our stay at Bellbird Studio. The cabin was impeccably clean and thoughtfully furnished and was a perfect getaway. The surrounding areas were great for long walks with our puppy and we are already looking forward to our return visit in winter so we can make the most of the fireplace and enjoying a few glasses of red wine in the outdoor spa!

Exactly what we needed for a weekend escape. A gorgeous setting, great place to sleep and friendly hosts. I love that there is only one cottage. The spa was great for relaxing in the evening, the marked walk from the property was great to wake up to and the Kenilworth state forest was perfect to explore in 4wd or on foot. Will definitely be back!

we had a lovely stay at the studio , very stress free. Kym and John have thought of everything to make your stay here easy . All you need is some grub for the BBQ , cheese from the factory in town,you must try the cornish pasties from the bakery superb. Also a nice bottle of vino to have and relax in the spa, Bliss. The bellbirds where amazing. We took our two jack russells they loved it.We will be back for sure.sue and gary woodford.

I was so impressed with the whole atmosphere and the lovely area. Tucked away under the Kenilworth Bluff in rain forest - just beautiful from the alfresco shower to the spa. Glenda and I will certainly be returning before long. I have already told several friends about it but not too many or it may be booked out when I want to go again.

Loved the bushland setting and the cozy timber cottage which was well equipped & clean. The vases of camellias were a lovely touch and smelled divine. The wildlife, cute black calves and birds were amazing to listen to and watch, especially the bell bird calls all day. Indulged in a spa on the verandah and enjoyed a very peaceful & relaxing weekend. The hosts were friendly and helpful & also respected our privacy. Yes we will return & enjoy a longer stay next visit. Thanks again.

Bellbird Studio is a wonderful place. The bellbirds are amazing. The outdoor shower is fantastic-looking out into the trees in complete privacy. The spa is the perfect temperature. The owners have thought of all the little extras that make staying enjoyable. Wake up to the birds- early- but the bed is so comfortable you will go back to sleep.

The studio was amazing. On arrival the spa was on and heated to perfection. Sitting in there having a quiet drink listening to nature on what was a beautiful evening was the perfect way to start our weekend. The outdoor shower was fantastic and a great experience not found at home. Some many things to do on the Saturday that we forgot to turn the spa on when we left but thanks to John who came by to check it for us and turned it so that when we returned we could jump straight in. The property the studio is situated on is magnificent and we will definitely be back. Thanks Kym and John for an awesome weekend and for provided a great place to stay.

The Bellbird Studio was everything I hoped for and more. We stayed three nights in this very peaceful, charming house. The setting is very private, but feels safe knowing it is private land and the owners are near (but not too near). The studio, in the meaning of an artist's studio, was lovely. It has been perfectly restored by the owners John and Lyn. Everything we could possibly have needed was provided. The veranda was extremely relaxing. We had bbq every night. The SPA on the veranda, surrounded by trees and the calls of the many kinds of amazing birds was a huge highlight. The entertainment system: tv, dvd, sound system, were great, including speakers out on the veranda to listen to music while having a sip of wine in the spa. Yes, it was heaven. Our puppy had the absolute time of his life "getting to know the cows".... John and Lyn were perfect hosts. We loved hearing about the area and getting ideas for places to visit. Don't miss the Bellbird Cafe or the Kenilworth Cheese factory, including their amazing youghurt, (free tastings of cheese and youghurt). There is so much to do and see near the Bellbird Studio, or sit back and jusst relax. We will come back, I hope many times, to the Bellbird Studio. We really loved it. We feel very renewed and relaxed after our perfect visit. Thank you John and Lyn! (Tell the cows they can come out of hiding from our pup now.)
