Eaglehawk Rainforest Retreat is a secluded ocean side holiday rental on the Tasman Peninsula. Privately located in the forest a couple of hundred metres away from the tranquil shores of Pirates Bay, and within driving distance of the regions environmental and cultural attractions (including Port Arthur), the Rainforest Retreat provides a truly unique getaway for adults, children, and anyone else interested in taking time out from their busy lives.
Eaglehawk Retreat features 2 unique octagonal spaces, both of which are hand-crafted out of recycled timbers and clad in western red cedar. The main house features floor to ceiling windows extending the entire width of the house, hardwood tasmanian oak floorboards, a vaulted timber ceiling and a wood burning combustion fire place. The fully equipped kitchen is fitted with gas appliances, and the modern bathroom includes a full-size bath and generous shower.
Positioned 60m from the main house, the second ‘mini-yurt’ is privately located amongst native Eucalypt trees. This smaller and private space is self-contained with large windows, timber flooring, heater, simple bathroom with shower & toilet, and a kitchen sink with coffee and tea-making facilities.
The house features a private beach-access track to Lufra Cove and the tessellated pavement. Located at the northern end of Pirates Bay, Lufra Cove is a safe, wind-protected beach that offers the perfect environment for children to play while their parents unwind with a fishing rod or good book.
Nestled in the Tasmanian forest and located a great distance away from the Tasman Highway, Eaglehawk Rainforest Retreat provides peaceful environs in which to work on finishing that novel, relaxing with family and friends, or just indulging yourself with a private and peace filled retreat.
