Only a short walk from the beach, The Little Deckhouse is an elevated coastal haven in the prestigious enclave of St Andrews Beach, on the Ocean Beach side of the Mornington Peninsula.
Newly renovated, the white wooden walls and interiors give it a beachy feel and the leafy outlook - set on half an acre - is just what the doctor ordered on a getaway from the city. Start the day with the paper and a cup of tea on the sunny deck and finish it with a barbeque and a glass of wine on the outdoor setting looking out over the Moonah trees and lush ivy.
The house is warm in winter (heating) and cool in summer (ceiling fans), with four sliding doors opening to the oversized deck. Plenty of mod cons too, with a 40" LED TV & Blu Ray/DVD player in the main room and a TV with built in DVD for the kids in the bunkroom. There is also an easy to operate hard drive connected to the smart TV with lots of current movies - 50 to date! A DVD library and a great collection of books is also provided for guest use.
The bathroom and kitchen is modern and new - features include dishwasher and oven plus gas cooktop. Ample bench space in the kitchen makes family feasts a breeze, no matter how many cooks you have operating at once!
**Please note fees quoted are for the WHOLE HOUSE. Unlike many properties, the price you will not be charged per additional adult on top of the base rate. TLD comfortably sleeps a maximum seven adults.

The Little Deckhouse is named for its huge, elevated deck which has similar floor space to the entire house. There is a large bbq, outdoor setting and sun umbrella which makes big outdoor feasts a feature. Kids and dogs will love the size of the yard and the areas to explore. There are stunning views of St Andrews Golf Course from the hill at the back of the property.
The configuration of the house suits many holiday-goers; those wanting a romantic weekend away (to suit two one or two couples), large groups (of up to seven) or those packing up a whole family, plus mum and dad, who can retire in privacy downstairs. Upstairs there is a double bedroom, a bunk room sleeping three and a bathroom. On the ground floor there is a separate (lockable) double bedroom, featuring stained glass windows and ensuite/shower as well as a large laundry.
What makes The Little Deckhouse unique is its elevation up amongst the trees giving leafy outlooks and the total privacy of its location. The Little Deckhouse is close enough to the beach to hear the waves roaring in the distance.
