Such a lovely retreat, very convenient to town but not in amongst it - garden wonderfully peaceful and full of birdsong. Very clean, extremely well equipped - for both hot and cold weather. Log burner is a delight. Beds super comfy. Location to 3 sisters and Grand Canyon is excellent. Go on, treat yourself! Outstanding value for the price!

Had a fantastic time recently at Explorers cottage, it's in a quiet leafy street and has obviously been painted recently and has new carpets. The kitchen is fully equipped and even has a juicer and coffee machine (with fresh coffee in the freezer). It's walking distance to Echo Point, the 3 sisters and Katoomba Falls. It's also walking distance to all the shops, cafes and restaurants in Katoomba High st. You can even walk from the station if you haven't got a car, so it's ideal for people from interstate or overseas. There's an amazing sun room where you can relax with a coffee or let the kids play (toys are provided). For kids, there is also a fort in the garden with a slide and swing and a teepee in the rumpus room, there are even bath toys in the bathroom cupboard. The slow burning wood fire is amazing after a long day of hiking and it burns overnight! The washing machine and dryer were so handy, we had a great stay & highly recommend explorers cottage, the owners have thought of everything!
