The Shalimar Roundhouse is a circular timber yurt situated in a beautiful mountain rainforest valley 10 minutes from the North Coast town of Mullumbimby in the Byron Bay hinterland.
Situated a short drive from the beautiful river and ocean-front town of Brunswick Heads, north of Byron, our certified organic 75 acre landscape is a mix of large open mountain plateaus with panoramic views and beautiful sub tropical rainforest. A variety of creeks offer beautiful fresh water swimming holes, inspiring walks and local ecology to observe.
This self-contained timber yurt features:-

We grow a range of organic citrus, fruits, vegetables and herbs which are used for food, trade and to make our own botanical medicines, cosmetics and household products. We have a small number of lambs, sheep, cows and chickens, native animals and lots of bird-life.

My daughter and I had a lovely stay in this quiet country home. Everything you need for time out from a busy lifestyle.
Recommend for people wanting to rest and relax - breakfast on the deck looking out over the paddocks and listening to the whipbirds - priceless!
