Swallows Cottage is a lovely renovated original Settlers Cottage that provides a charming holiday destination that won't break your budget. It is well located less than 10 minutes from Margaret River in a peaceful rural setting away from the holiday crowds.

We charge a flat rate for up to 8 people.

The cottage has 4 bedrooms (sleeps 8), lounge room, separate kitchen dining, 2 outdoor dining and living spaces with barbeque, bathroom and separate toilet and laundry.

The bedding configuration consists of:
1 x Main Bedroom with Queen bed (sleeps 2)
1 x Double room with Queen bed ( sleeps 2)
1 x Bunk set and Single 'Thomas the Tank Engine" bed in a bedroom (sleeps 3)
1 x Single Bed in a bedroom ((sleeps 1)
There is also a sofabed in the lounge

NOTE The price does NOT include linen. Guests need to bring their own sheets, pillowcases and towels. Linen can be hired at $15 per person.

Pillows, blankets and quilts are provided. Electric blankets are available for the queen beds in winter.

The cottage overlooks paddocks with dairy cattle, sheep, wild kangaroos and emus. There is fantastic bird watching - 45 species of birds have been identified including blue wrens and robins. Guests are welcome to pick fruit in season from the trees around the house.

It is a peaceful retreat while still close to Margaret River and Witchcliffe and part of the famous Swallows Welcome Winery and Art Studio. It is just a 500m walk from the cottage to the winery for a bottle of wine, to visit Patricia Negus' working Art Studio/Gallery or just wander around the lovely cottage gardens and have a look inside the mudbrick Chapel of the Flowers that hosts weddings and concerts and Patricia's paintings of all the wildflowers of the south-west.

There are communal living areas featuring:
Renovated and quaint kitchen and dining room. Kitchen has a fridge/freezer, microwave, electric oven and cooktop, electric frypan, kettle, sandwich maker, toaster, rice cooker.
Lounge room with TV/DVD/video/stereo/Ipod dock with an extensive cd and video library and a wood fire that doubles as a stove top. Cast iron pots are provided that can be used to slow cook a meal on top of the stove in winter. Fire wood is provided. A pedestal fan and an electric heater are available.
Bathroom with original cast iron bathtub, shower, hairdryer. Separate toilet.
A lovely front verandah overlooking the paddock with 2 rocking chairs and an outdoor setting and another entertaining area with a BBQ at the back of the house.
There is a cubby house for the children, totem tennis, a hammock to relax in, books and games.
The bunk room has a second TV for DVDs/ gaming.
The laundry has a washing machine, dryer, ironing board and iron.

Swallows Cottage is 8kms/10 mins from Margaret River and 5km/7 mins from Witchcliffe.

BOOKING POLICY
Payment is preferably by bank transfer.
A 25% deposit is required to secure the accommodation
The balance is due 2 weeks prior to your arrival.

CANCELLATION POLICY
The deposit is nonrefundable.
The balance will be refunded only if the cottage is rebooked by another guest.
