San Diego Views is a beach cottage with fantastic views of the bay and just a short walk to shops, pier and the beach.
The house has 3 bedrooms that sleeps a total of 12, however rates are based on 6 beds sleeping 8. Access to the additional 4 beds are available at additional rates. Each bedroom sleeps 4.
Bedroom 1 and 2 - double bed with electric blankets and a set of single bunks. Bedroom 3 - queen bed with electric blankets and a set of single bunks. All double and queen beds have storage drawers underneath and each bedroom has wardrobes and fans. There is also a portacot that can be made available.
Bathroom includes bath, separate shower and toilet.
Laundry facilities include industrial washing machine, iron and ironing board.
Kitchen has large family sized refrigerator/freezer, microwave, toaster, kettle, dishwasher and all cutlery and crockery.
Longue area has 4 couches, stereo with ipod connectivity, TV and DVD player, gas heating and split system air conditioner/heater unit.
Study area is light and airy accommodating a large work desk and has the best views of the house.
The best feature of the house is the large undercover deck area with deck seating- perfect for reading that novel whilst enjoying the sea views, an outdoor setting and BBQ facilities.
As the property is on a corner allotment as well as the last house in a no-through road, there is ample parking for 4 cars out front in San Diego Avenue and parking for cars 2 cars via the Smythe Street entrance, as well as storage for boat or jet ski in the lock up garage.
We also have an outdoor shower so you can wash down when coming back from the beach.
Conditions of Stay
All Doonas and pillows are inclusive, however you will need to bring pillow cases, sheets, tea towels, bathroom towels and beach towels, etc.
A linen package, including all of the above can be made available at an additional cost.
A 50% deposit is taken on booking via direct debit.
Balance must be paid 28 days prior to check in. Where the stay commences in less than 28 days from the time of booking, the full amount must be paid.
Bond must be paid at time of full payment.
No Schoolies- this is a home perfectly accommodating families.
No smoking inside the home, however on the balcony is fine.
Outdoor pets are allowed by prior arrangement, however they must stay outside and you should also aware that the fences are quite old and there is the odd gap.
What to do at Portarlington
What's there not to do in Portarlington.
It's a perfect location to enjoy the bay especially if you are keen on fishing and boating, but best of all it's the perfect spot to plan day trips of the Ballerine Peninsula and all that it has to offer.
Portarlington has some great events like the annual Mussel and Keltic Festival, as well as the Historic Mill Museum.
Enjoy some of the Bellarine Peninsulas best wineries and food.
Great Golf Courses just a short drive away.
Take day trips to historic Queenscliff, and catch the ferry to Sorrento for the day.
Take a drive to Torquay, Barwon Heads or Ocean Grove for some surfing.
Take a ride on the Bellarine Peninsula Railway.
Visit the Portarlington Market (last Sunday of the month) and pick up a bargain.
Finally, don't forget to visit the local bakery for a latte and their famous Toastie!
