Red Rooster Host Farm is nestled under Mount Arthur in the beautiful north east of Tasmania. Our nearest town is Lilydale only 10 mins drive, with supermarket, takeaway & lolly shop, bakery, hotel, chemist, Doctor, Post Office, petrol & diesel available. Launceston is an easy 35 minute drive from our farm.
Red Rooster Host Farm is a hobby farm set on 16 secluded acres in a peaceful valley at Wyena, abundant wildlife, and forest walks to enjoy.
Our property is situated at the end of a quiet country road, "Burns Road " with good access.
The farm is a little oasis amongst the vast surrounds of eucalyptus forest & natural bush, an ambiance of tranquility. Great place for a relaxing bush walk, with many good tracks to explore the surrounding area, even a magical rain forest.
A perfect country retreat, ideal location for people looking for a peaceful, relaxing getaway , or ideal as a great base to explore the many attractions the north east of Tasmania has to offer.
Picturesque park like grounds, with an English style garden many glorious mature tree's, and sweeping lawn areas, with plenty of space for children to run and play.
We have a large vegetable garden, all grown with organic principles, delicious loganberries, our guests are welcome to share any produce
SELF CONTAINED GUEST COTTAGE
The guest accommodation cottage is warm, and inviting with old fashion country charm, equipped with everything you require for an enjoyable self contained stay.
Two bedrooms sleeps 5 people comfortably, room 1 has a queen bed, wardrobe, second adjoining bedroom, has a queen bed and one single, dressing table, all beds have warm doona's and electric blankets.
Porta cot is available.
The kitchenette has fridge / freezer, microwave, electric hotplates, and is equipped with everything needed to prepare your own meals.
A warm wood fire, with plenty of firewood supplied, or the convenience of a reverse cycle air conditioner. Flat screen TV dvd & movies, books & magazines, comfortable sofa.
High chair & porta cot available
Gas BBQ outside unit. table & chairs.
Breakfast provisions supplied in cost of tariff. Fresh farm eggs, home baked bread, jam butter, cereals, milk, tea / coffee.
The entry, sun room area with nice views to the garden is a pleasant spot to relax with a glass of local wine and cheese.
The bathroom is delightful with a claw foot antique bathtub, shower is over the bath.
Word of advice when coming from Lilydale direction, PLEASE follow the Golconda road, to the turn off onto Burns Road ( sign post at turn off ) DO NOT take the GPS directions via North Lilydale Road, this is only suitable for 4 wheel drive vehicles.
