"A Stone's Throw" is a three year old 3 brick home close to the beach and yet away from the crowds. The home is tastefully furnished in a contemporary style. Due to its northerly aspect, there is lots of natural light creating a relaxing and airy atmosphere and plenty of opportunity to breathe in the fresh sea air. The 3 comfortable bedrooms are equipped to sleep 8 adults with lots of room to move.

LIVING AREAS
The large north facing open plan living and lounge areas, equipped with a new TV, Video, DVD and Stereo, along with a selection of games, books and videos for your enjoyment, will truly enable you to relax in your home away from home.

KITCHEN
The modern kitchen is equipped with all your cooking and dining needs, with everything from a Microwave and a Dishwasher to a Milkshake Maker, to allow you to cook up your favourite cuisine, or you can just be lazy and have an easy Take Away meal at the expansive Breakfast Bar.

BEDROOMS
The main bedroom contains a Queen Bed, with walk through wardrobe and ensuite. Bedroom 2 contains two double bunk beds (4 singles). Bedroom 3 contains a Queen Bed. All bedrooms are also equipped with a chest of drawers for your convenience.

BATHROOMS
There are 2 toilets, 2 showers and a bath provided in modern styles.

LAUNDRY
A large internal laundry (including washing machine and dryer) with plenty of room for storing beach things indoors.

PERGOLA
In addition to the north facing front porch, a Gas BBQ and covered entertainment area are provided for those lazy dinners cooking the catch of the day, or for you to relax in while the children play in the fenced back yard. It is also perfect for drying your wet beach gear.

BACKYARD
The fully fenced level backyard with double gate access is the perfect place to securely park your Trailer or Boat off the street, and for the children to play in a safe environment.

YOUNG CHILDREN
A Portable Cot, Highchair and Safety Bed Rail are available for the use of young children.

PETS
Pets are permitted upon request and payment of pet bond. The backyard is secure and the pergola area can be used for your pet's bedding. However, pets are not allowed inside the house.

LINEN
Please bring your own sheets, pillow cases, towels etc. (Blankets, doonas and pillows are supplied).

The Local Area

FACILITIES IN THE VILLAGE
Currarong has a good variety of services to make your stay at "A Stone's Throw" more enjoyable. The General Store stocks all your holiday needs from groceries and sunscreen to Take Away meals. The Newsagent / Post Office, Licensed Bowling & Recreation Club, Service Station, Video Shop, Bottle Shop, Tennis Courts, and Boat Ramps all make your stay a joy. Why not eat in or take home a delightful fresh seafood meal or Cappuccino from Zac's Place!

CURRARONG ROCK POOLS
Swim and snorkel in the beautiful, all natural tidal Rock Pools adjacent to Abraham's Bosom Reserve. The safety rail and non slip steps going into the water, along with the nearby Picnic Tables make this the ideal family recreation spot.

POINT PERPENDICULAR LIGHTHOUSE
Located on the tip of Beecroft Peninsular, protecting the entrance to Jervis Bay, is the Point Perpendicular Lighthouse. The sheer cliffs, the power of the Pacific Ocean, and the stunning view (especially at Sunset) make this place one you will not want to miss.

FISHING
Currarong is known as one of the best fishing spots on the entire N.S.W. coast. Currarong has great Beaches, Rock platforms, Bay and Ocean locations for the keen angler to test their skills. A little known bush track winding down the cliff from Point Perpendicular leads to a fishing spot that is one of the only land based locations in Australia where Yellow Fin Tuna and Marlin can be caught.

WALKING
Abraham's Bosom Reserve has a multitude of walking tracks that snake their way over a large part of Beecroft Peninsula. These tracks lead to locations such as the Shipwreck of the SS Merimbula, Mermaids Inlet, Lobster Rock and Honeysuckle Point. These places are for people with varying interests ranging from fishing and snorkeling, to Sunbathing and Photography. There are also 14kms of beautiful Warrain Beach for those who like a sunset stroll, or early morning Jog.

BEACHES
Currarong is situated alongside the 14kms of beautiful Warrain Beach, and the smaller, more protected Abraham's Bosom Beach. If you feel that you would like to get away from the crowds that you see in your busy lifestyle, or at your local city beach, then this is the place for you. A short stroll will take you to your own deserted place on the beach, far from the hustle and bustle, even in Peak holiday season.
Long Beach, Cabbage Tree Beach, Calala Bay and Honeymoon Bay are located in Jervis Bay a short drive away (5 to10 minutes).

SURFING
On a good North East swell Currarong's beach, reef and point breaks spring to life with some exceptionally high quality waves.
If the swell direction or wind direction isn't favorable, a short drive (5 to 15 minutes) will take you to Windy Point, Kinghorn Point, Culburra, Crookhaven Heads or Target Beach where you can take advantage of swell directions ranging from Easterly through to Southerly.
If you are a keen wind surfer, Currarong can also be a great place for you to fill your sails.
Combined with the clean water, beautiful location and lack of crowds, a holiday at Currarong can be a surfers dream.

WILDLIFE
Currarong is located on Beecroft Head, along side several National Parks including Jervis Bay Marine Park, and has an abundance of wildlife. It is not uncommon to see Rosella's, Lorikeets, Possums, Pelicans, Bilbys, Penguins, Dolphins, and even the occasional Turtle or Whale.
