Description

Peace, tranquillity and a charming three-bedroom country cottage all to yourself. And only five minutes from some of the best boutique wineries in Australia. Yet your self-contained, fully-equipped cottage feels like it’s a million miles from all this activity and action. Relax on one of the wrap around verandahs with the paper or a good book, sipping on a cup of coffee or tea (or a glass of something a little stronger) while listening to the bellbirds calling across the valley or the cows providing some clues to the cottage’s history.
Or spend the day sampling award winning wines knowing your retreat ‘in the hills’ provides the perfect place to review (or continue) the day’s work. Something tasty on the barbeque with your favourite music piped to the outside deck and a glass of something delicious in your hand…..it doesn’t get much better than this.

Accommodation

Constructed of wood with an iron roof, the cottage exudes farmhouse appeal and you’ll feel the tension slipping away as you search for that perfect spot to relax with a strong hot cuppa or a glass of your favourite. Wood-lined internal walls, lap-sash windows, high ceilings and decorative fireplaces enhance its old world charm.
The lounge-room is equipped with TV, DVD/VCR player and stereo system (with speakers out to the back verandah), the kitchen has a microwave and a dishwasher to make life that little bit easier and there’s even a washing machine just in case you run out of clean clothes.
Cute as a button, yet comfortable and fully-equipped, the farmhouse is nestled in a beautiful little rural valley with views over grazing cattle to vine-covered slopes and distant hills. Surrounded on all sides by covered verandahs you choose which weather conditions or views you most want to savour.
Three spacious bedrooms comfortably sleep up to six adults. Two bedrooms have queen-size wrought iron beds while the other has two extra-long single ensembles that can be joined to form a king-size bed. All bedrooms have wardrobes, cooling fans, alarm clock/radios and access or views to one of the verandahs.

Guest Reviews
It is a well-restored former farmhouse and it has lovely, welcoming touches that made our stay very comfortable.
The only sort-of carp would be that the bedrooms aren't soundproof for sleeping babies/toddlers not to be disturbed by the adults outside the rooms. But this is a very minor matter.
We had a splendid time at the Hunter Valley and enjoyed the views from the farmhouse tremendously.

We had an absolute fantastic time. The dairy farm cottage was beautiful, we highly recommend it. The view is amazing, sunsets spectacular and the outdoor chiminea was awesome.
The owners really take pride in this property.

We are so glad we stayed in such a beautiful cottage, it helped to make a wonderful weekend away. It was great to enjoy a glass of local wine by the open fire.
This cottage has everything we needed, the kitchen was well equipped, the beds were comfortable and we loved that there were heaters in all the rooms. You would be hard to please if you do not enjoy Dairy Farm Cottage. We cant wait to come back soon!

Staying at Dairyfarm cottage was fabulous. You feel so calm and peaceful as soon as you arrive. The views from the cottage really are something else. They reminded me of my grandparents' farm in New Zealand (everything just looked so green and lush. This is high praise from me). The cottage was incredibly cute and had everything you could possibly want: charm, old world character, hot showers, comfortable beds, a working fireplace and a kitchen packed with everything you could possibly want(I was so pleased to find a coffee plunger and delicious coffee there). Another bonus was that the cottage was only about 10 minutes drive from Cessnock. We were quite impressed with Cessnock as it had a good variety of shops such as Woolworths, Coles, IGA, Aldi, Big W, Target etc. If you needed anything from town it didn't take you long to get there. We absolutely loved staying at Dairyfarm cottage and will definitely be going back. It's such a pity that it's not for sale so that we could buy it.

Fantastic place to stay. The photos don't do it justice. Such a warm and inviting place. Perfect for couples or families. Loved the books and board games. We will be back ASAP. Thankyou for a wonderful stay.

Had the cottage for the weekend of Opera in the Vineyards. What a fabulous place to stay (but I'm a bit worried if I say too much, we won't get a look in to book next year!). It was fabulous, secluded, perfectly appointed. Lovely big rooms, very well organised and well furnished. Perfect place for a quiet getaway - probably fab for a romantic weekend (but there were five of us, not a romance in sight). Can't speak highly enough of the place. If you want seclusion and quiet, this is it!
Thanks - we'll be back.
