Description

Nestled in 15 acres of tranquil rainforest just 35km north-west of Brisbane, Turkey\'s Nest is a perfect retreat from the bustle of city life, close to the city, yet a world away.

Surrounded by Brisbane Forest Park and Maiala National Park, the tranquil village of Mt. Glorious offers bush walking, cafes, an art gallery, and a sculpture garden.

At 620m above sea level, Mt Glorious provides welcome relief from the summer heat. In winter, as mists waft through the rainforest, warm yourself by the fireplace, with a glass of wine and a good book

Turkey\'s Nest is a place to relax, unwind and enjoy the tranquillity in the company of someone special.

White Gum Cottage

White Gum Cottage is self contained with two bedrooms and a fully equipped kitchen. A former forestry cottage, it has a delightful rustic charm, combined with all the modern conveniences you would expect to make your stay comfortable.

Awake a magnificent view through towering trees to the rainforest below. Relax on the veranda where a wide variety of exotic birds come to feed. On chilly winter nights there is a cosy wood combustion heater, CD player and range of CDs, a selection of books and games, port and chocolates, and electric blankets.

Guest Reviews

  • "Wonderful, tranquil place. Total escape from the craziness of the real world - such a haven!"
    Moira, May 2008

  • "We spent a wonderful 2 days at Turkey's Nest - it was icy cold outside, so the woodfire heater was in constant use. Absolutely delightful, so cosy and homelike, no pretensions or silly designer decor, just comfort and warmth. Can't wait to stay again!"
    Moira, May 2008

  • "It was a great spot despite the constant rain, fog and wind. If the weather was better we would have liked to see an undercover gas BBQ, otherwise it was pretty good."
    Robert, February 2008
