  • "Hello Alistair, Just wanted to let you know we had a WONDERFUL time down at Roo Cottage. The house was beautiful and so close to the beach. I hope we left everything okay? If it is possible could I make a tenative booking for the new year, we'd love another week down there. There is no rush, just let me know at your convenience when the house is free again in January and/or February. Kind regards, Deborah "

  • "We had a wonderfully relaxing weekend at Roo Corner Cottage, and our dogs loved it too. We took them for long walks on the beach (there were a lot of bluebottles though, so no swimming) and the rest of the time we just lounged around or bought snacks from the local shop. Our escape-artist beagle managed to find a hole in the fence that we couldn't even see, so she got out a few times, but it's such a sleepy village it was easy to find her!"

  • "Hi Alistair, We had a great time at Roo Corner. The house was very comfortable; extremely well equipped kitchen for a holiday house! The wildlife was amazing the kangaroos were there most evenings; black cockatoos; little finches; bluetongue lizard on the back ramp and the very interesting black bugs all over the lemon(?) tree near the deck. You were right about the ticks the dog had a couple and my son had one on his neck. You didnt mention the stingrays one swam past me when I was swimming at Merry Beach! Thanks for telling me about Sandmines Beach we walked around to one of the bays from there; it was pristine; just beautiful. Water was very cold when we arrived on 21 Dec but warmed up to a perfect temperature very refreshing. Cheers Sandra "

  • "We had a most enjoyable week at Roo Cottage. The house is well equipped and the studio was great for the kids to escape to. The surrounding beaches are fantastic and there were plenty of great walks for the whole family (dogs included)."

  • "The house is wonderfully laid out-lots of room and private. It was terrific to sit on the back verandah amongst flowering bottlebrushes and gums and enjoy the great variety of birdlife, let alone the families of kangaroos eating grass in the front of the houses in the street at dusk I enjoyed walking along the beaches and headlands and not being in amongst crowds. cheers and thanks Robyn "

  • "We had a wonderful spring weekend at Roo Corner Cottage, a classic beach cottage on a stunning coastline - walking distance to beaches, wetlands, and Mirramurrang National Park. We enjoyed our breakfasts and sundowners on the peaceful deck with the company of kangaroos and birds in the native garden. Great comfy beds, hot showers and super BBQ went down well after some serious bushwalking. Highly recommended."
