Description

Three immaculate self-contained timber cottages with a view. The cottages have been built from timber in a contemporary style. Each cottage has been crafted to perfection, maintaining a real sense of the environment and offering beautiful panoramic views of the Dorrigo National Park escarpment with its rainforest clad mountains. Undisturbed tranquility awaits you!

Inside each cottage you can find a spa bathroom, a large and spacious open plan living area with fully equipped kitchen opening to a spacious deck, where you can eat or relax and soak in the breathtaking scenery. One cottage is for couples only while the two others have two bedrooms, sleeping up to 6 guests each.
The cottages have reverse cycle air conditioning, DVD/TV/Hifi including CD and a selection of movies, books and games. There is also a separate games room, a top quality artificial grass tennis court and mountain bikes for the guests to use to explore the surrounding area. Pack a picnic and spend the day riding through the undulating hills before stopping for a dip in the nearby Never Never river.

Locality

The cottages are situated on 100 acres of private land - a 10-15 minute scenic drive north of Bellingen, 6 hours driving time north of Sydney.
The town of Bellingen boasts a thriving arts and cultural calendar, a la carte restaurants, cafes and a nine hole golf course. (30 minutes away is the Bonville International Golf Course)
The world renowned Dorrigo rainforest is a short 40 minute drive west whillst 30 minutes east takes you to any number of unspoilt beaches.
Just a short walk away from the cottages is the crystal clear Never Never river with a choice of swimming holes.

In the Gourmet Traveller magazine Feb 2003, they say: ' The Promised Land Cottages offers no ordinary farmstay. On a 40ha property overlooking the mountains fringing the Dorrigo National Park, (three) self-contained timber chalets blend functional minimalism with deep comfort. Simple country pleasures combined with cosmopolitan luxury appear to be a hallmark of a valley visit.'

The property has also been reviewed on page 6 in the travel section of the Sydney Morning Herald - Aug 17th-18th 2002 and a rating of 17 out of 20 was awarded. Since then all the cottages have had reverse cycle air conditioning installed.
