Welcome to Barton Retreat, a self-contained, waterfront holiday home in a peaceful, relaxing setting.
The main house has been renovated and extended in recent years and is a beautiful blend of Tasmanian timbers and feature leadlight windows and doors. In the lounge room, you will find a timber cathedral ceiling, wall-to-wall windows to take advantage of the lovely view down to the water and a wood-burning heater to warm chilly winter evenings. The large renovated bathroom has leadlight features, a luxurious shower, a spa bath and a separate toilet. The timber kitchen is fully equipped, including a microwave, large refrigerator and dishwasher.
Leadlight windows, a queen-size bed and lovely views of the garden are features of the main bedroom. Each of the other two bedrooms sleeps two people; one can be converted to accommodate a king-size bed on request. The dining area seats eight and there is a large laundry room with washer and dryer, freezer, ironing board and iron and indoor hanging space.
All linen and towels are supplied.

Our price of $260 for two nights is especially designed for weekend getaways for couples. Give yourselves the break you deserve at a price that's affordable!
Please apply to the owners for prices for additional guests and longer stays.
The Main House sleeps up to 6 and the Bunkhouse can provide handy accommodation for an additional 2 guests, by prior arrangement.
Caravans and mobile homes parked on site will incur an additional cost.
We offer a discount and complimentary wine for week-long stays (or more).
No charge for babies (if you supply your own Portacot).
What to do at Barton Retreat?
Swim, fish, walk along the beach, play badminton, boule or backyard cricket.
Take a drive up or down the coast and stop at any number of beautiful beaches. Boat launching facilities are just minutes away and Spring Bay and Maria Island provide all the fishing you could want. Golf courses and vineyards are nearby.
Kids will have fun just exploring the property and walking the foreshore and nearby beach looking for shells.
Booklovers can, of course, read, read, read!
Shops, bakery, butcher and restaurants are within 2 kms.

An excellent few days. A lovely view. Very clean. the kids loved the extra room. thank you for the "little extras" that come with such a wonderful home. We will be back (hopefully soon).
