With absolute lake frontage, Ambleside On The Lake is a boutique Edwardian B&B offering 4 star luxury accommodation, with the best views in town!

Overlooking Lake Daylesford, guests can enjoy panoramic lake and town views. Located on the quiet side of Lake Daylesford, you can enjoy the serenity that a lakeside location offers. Everything is provided for your comfort, along with inconspicuous hosting! Guests are free to come and go as they please.

Built in 1912, Ambleside retains all the old-world charm, yet incorporates modern day comforts.

Offering a total of only 3 guestrooms, all rooms feature period furnishings, QS beds, ensuites, air-con, tea/coffee making & fridges.

One room can also be used as twinshare, or sleep a 3rd adult (*additional fee of $55pp/pn applies). All rooms feature Ipod Docking Clock Radios so you can listen to your own music and charge your ipod at the same time. All guest rooms are strictly non-smoking rooms.

Guests are free to relax in the guest-lounge or enjoy a leisurely drink on the veranda. A small wine list & snacks menu is also available to in-house guests during their stay.

Ambleside is ideally situated on the quiet side of Lake Daylesford and is walking distance to many restaurants, galleries & tourist attractions.

Midweek:
Standard Room: $170 p/n Mon-Thurs
Deluxe Room: $185 p/n Mon-Thurs

Weekend:
Standard Room: $425 for 2 nights
Deluxe Room: $450 for 2 nights

Note: All Tariffs are for 2 people and include an a-la-carte breakfast each day which is served in the Dining Room overlooking the lake; or ask us about our Breakfast Tray and enjoy brekkie in bed!

Please note that a 2 night minimum booking applies at weekends and public holidays, however, single night requests will be taken in the week leading up to your preferred date.
Unfortunately children under 7 are not catered for.

Tea-Rooms

Our Tea-rooms are open to the public by arrangement and bookings are essential. We offer traditional afternoon teas, along with an a-la-carte Sweets & Snacks menu. Traditional cream teas, where our scones are freshly baked, and are served with real clotted cream!

Bookings can also be made for Champagne High Tea, where dainty finger sandwiches, scones and petit fours are served on a multi-tier serving tray, along with a glass of champagne to start with! High Tea is $30pp and bookings are essential.

Guests can also order from our a-la-carte menu, which includes pancakes, puddings and french toast, or simply enjoy a glass of wine or beer.

Bookings are essential. Small groups (up to 12) can also be catered for midweek by arrangement. Why not celebrate your next special occasion with a delightful afternoon tea - away from the hustle and bustle of the main street!
