Description

This absolute waterfront beach house is designed to give you that complete beach feel while staying. The interior is casual and comfortable, perfect for families. The house is fully self-contained and has been fitted out with you and the kids in mind. From the Austar connection so Dad doesn't miss out on his footy to the trampoline and swings, not to mention the rumpus room, also with Austar. The yard is kid and dog-safe so you don't need to worry about where they are. Please check out the photos as we think they say it all.

Features & Facilities

Our beach house has 4 bedrooms with the main bedroom having double bunks in its annexe.
Bedroom 1....1 Queen
Bedroom 1A...2 Bunks. This room interconnects with bedroom 1
Bedroom 2......1 Double on bottom and single above it
Bedroom 3......2 Singles
Bedroom 4......1 Queen Bedrooms 3 & 4 interconnect.
Interconnecting rooms mean you walk through one room to enter the other.

Total 11 people.

All doonas and pillowslips are washed after each guest. You can either bring your own linen or it is available for hire from a local company. You can also hire a cot and high chair. Extra blankets and pillows are in all the rooms.

From your modern kitchen you can see the incredible beach-views or watch the kids in the backyard, or just watch the television as you get dinner ready. The kitchen is fully fitted with everything you will ever need, gas cook-top and oven, microwave, large side-by-side stainless fridge-freezer will store all your food and drinks. There is a BBQ out the back so Dad can cook while the kids play and Mum can just sit down on the outdoor lounge chair having a glass of vino!

There is a casual lounge with leather sofas, large TV (with Austar and DVD) and beautiful beach views, and you may dine inside or out.
As mentioned the kids and dogs get a safe fully enclosed yard (so no worrying about the kids wondering down the beach by themselves) with
a. Trampoline( low set)
b. Swings & sandpit.
c. Kids room ( toys, television,Austar, DVD, lounge and drawing table).
d.All the kids channels/games channels on Austar.
e. Pushbike/walking path at back gate. So bring the bikes!
f.And there is a stack of kids videos for a rainy day.
The house has ceiling fans which you rarely need as the sea breeze keeps the house cool and heating for those cold nights. Three showers are available along with two toilets.
There is sufficient parking for any cars or boats that you may bring down.
This house is cozy enough for two people wanting a quite getaway but large enough for two families with the kids to not be tripping over yourselves. The house is all on one level so those with wheelchairs will have no problems and you parents won't be worrying about kids falling off balconies!

We visited Jervis Bay for the first time in September 2005 and fell in love immediately. This fantastic beach house was for sale, we bought immediately, and now it is available for you to rent (unless we get in first!).

Location & Local Attractions

The property is located on Collingwood Beach which is the only beach ( other than Callala beach) that has houses backing right on to the beach. It's approx 1.4 km to the local Vincentia shops which has Bi Lo, chemist, doctor & dentist, banks, restaurants, etc.

If you walk out your back gate onto the bike / walkway and turn right you can walk 10 minutes along the water to the shops in Vincentia. If you turn left it will take you to Moona Moona creek (750mtrs) which is great for the younger kids.We would spend many afternoons taking the kids for rides along this path and having a swim at Moona Moona. Another 10 minutes past Moona Moona creek is lovely Huskisson with all its attractions.

Fishing off the beach at your back door will bring in whiting and flathead mainly and the bait is under your feet with the beach having plenty of pippis. Every Wednesday you can get the freshest mussels from the wharf at Huskisson as they bring their harvest in from the mussel farms in the bay. You can also pick them up at the Ampol at Husky all week. Add crushed tomatoes, chilli and wine, then steam them open. It doesn't get any better.

In the area is dolpin and whale watching (from the back fence or on a tour), diving, bushwalking, Local indoor pool with slide, markets, clubs, 2 golf courses etc etc.

The area has so many activities that they are too varied to mention, but a quick visit to the tourism centre as you come through Husky and you will be up to date. But by far the best attraction down here is the bay and its beautiful beaches. Renowned for having the whitest sand in the world you won't find a prettier place in a hurry. Just go back and look at the photos of the beach taken from the back fence and you will have to agree.

Guest Reviews
FANTASTIC! The best house we have stayed at. Very well set up for kids ( we have 3). Great playroom, safe, fully fenced and the trampoline was a definate hit. Right on the beach - so no lugging all your stuff from the car to the sand. The perfect house for families. I would highly recommand this one. In fact we have rebooked for January 2008 for 2 weeks.
