We offer our guests first class traditional hosted B&B accommodation, in a luxurious romantic setting overlooking stunning views of Bass Strait and islands. We are situated on the magnificent scenic coastal drive between the charming seaside towns of Ulverstone and Penguin, on the beautiful North West Coast of Tasmania. We are very conveniently located between the business centres of Devonport and Burnie and also welcome Corporate and Business travellers who require luxurious, peaceful, and very comfortable accommodation in which to relax and unwind after a hectic day.(Enquire about our special Corporate rates) Moonlight Bay has beautifully decorated and furnished rooms with SEA VIEWS and ROMANTIC lace canopy four poster beds and lovely spacious ensuites with claw baths or double Spa. A full cooked breakfast is served at your leisure in the dining room, or alfresco on the huge sundeck overlooking the ocean. The quality restaurants, cafe's and shops of Ulverstone and Penguin, and also the famous Pengin Market the largest undercover market in Tasmania, are only a five minute drive away, and we are only fifteen minutes from the Devonport ferry terminal and airport and twenty minutes from Burnie which makes us very convenient for arrivals and departures to the Island. Launceston is also only one and a quarter hours drive. We are within easy reach of all North and North West tourist attractions including the world famous Cradle Mountain, The Tarkine Wilderness, and the historic fishing village of Stanley. Whether it is business or pleasure, make Moonlight Bay your base when you are exploring this breathtakingly, beautiful part of Tasmania. Some things to see and do

Moonlight Bay Guest House is the perfect base to stay if you are exploring this beautuful part of Tasmania with it's magnificent Mountain, Lake and Coastal scenery, and Green patchwork hills of the coastal hinterland. The world famous Cradle Mountain, The Tarkine Wilderness and the historic fishing village of Stanley, and Dismal Swamp, are within an easy hours drive away, and there is also so much more to see and do , and its right on our doorstep. Take a drive to the spectacular Leven Canyon, walk through the rain forrest to the viewing platform high above the Canyon . The view is breathtaking, or drive to the lime stone caves at Gunns Plains and see the glow worm displays, and the magnificent lime stone formations. Take a scenic ride along the scenic coastal route on a vintage market train to Penguin Market, the largest Craft Market in the North of Tasmania. Or perhaps stroll along the beach in front of Moonlight Bay in the summer evenings with that special person in your life. You will more than likely see some of our cute little fairy penguins returning from a days fishing to feed their young. Or maybe sit on our huge sundeck with a nice glass of Tasmanian wine and watch the sun go down and the Spirit of Tasmania sailing over the horizon. Gourmet food lovers will enjoy feasting on our abundant, succulent seafood,our cheeses, gourmet chocolates and cool climate wines and luscious berries and cherries, which can all be obtained from the fine restaurants, cafe's, wineries, and farm gates in the area.
