Pandanus Palms is a large Beach House set in the small seaside village of Diggers Camp, 6 klms north of Wooli. The village is 1 hour north of Coffs Harbour and 1 1/2 hours south of Ballina. The village is surrounded by the Yuragyir National Park and accessable by a well maintained dirt road suitable for all vehicles. The National Park boasts long stretches of quiet beaches and abundant local flora and fauna.
The main beach is a short stroll through the village and features a tidal lagoon which is ideal for children. The beach is also great for surfing, snorkelling and fishing.
The Beach House is high set and has large verandahs on three sides, and safety gates for small children. Baby bath, cot and stroller provided free. There are three bedrooms. 1st bedroom has a double bed. 2nd bedroom has two single beds. 3rd bedroom has 2 double bunks, sleeps 4 people. A huge living/dining area and fully equipped kitchen. The back yard has a built in barbeque so don't forget the sausages.
Pillows and blankets are provided but you should bring your own towels and sheets,and toiletries. Abundant birdlife, goanas, wallabies and emus so this rules out any pets, sorry. Plenty of reading matter, puzzles and games but no TV.

  • "We stayed at Pandanus Palms just prior to Easter 2007 and it can only be described as magnificent. Previously only a day visitor to Diggers, it was bliss to have a week in this unique and magical environment, made all the more perfect by the house. It is huge, comfy and everything works. You could walk to the beach holding your breath and you would not pass out it is so close. Wildlife is in abundance, it does matter whether it rains or shines, the adherence to environmentally friendly rules is enlightening and thought provoking, and the early rises and early bed times let you enjoy every second of the day.
