  • "Attended son's wedding in Capertee so house was a great base for us and large enough to accommodate 7 family members. Good facilities and only things that would have made perfect would have been an outdoor setting so we could have enjoyed the huge yard and the great weather more. "

  • "We had a group of friends and we stayed at the property. The property has a great feel to it very comfortable and enjoyable. We would recommend it to families and or groups to stay. We had a great time and will be booking it again. Richard"

  • "We had a great getaway with our family, two children and friends(another couple). Very cosy house with lots of character. Very close to so many places to visit e.g. the glow worm tunnel, Newus town amongst other places of interest."

  • "Great little place, we had so much fun ... you must visit the local pub while you stay ... the canyon is also spectacular "

  • "Stayed on the long Easter Weekend April 2011, with a bunch of friends. We loved our stay at The Stationmaster's House, the front porch is such gem! The open fire was lovely on cold nights. The kids loved the huge back yard, we did an egg hunt! The hot water system is GREAT! =o) The old Capertee station is just at the end of the road great for taking pictures. The stars at night are just Magical!! We can see the Milky Way! We are divided on the fact that there is no mobile coverage in Capertee =oD "

  • "We felt very confortable in this spacious home. The kitchen was well equipped, allowing us to unwind by doing some baking. It was also novel to be able to watch rabbits grazing in the backyard. The landscape in and around the Capertee Valley is absolutely stunning, with Dunns Swamp the highlight of our stay. "

  • "The cottage is clean, fresh and cosy. Very well maintained. The beds were comfy and warm and there were plenty of soft towels supplied. The kitchen is well equipped for simple cooking......better than many holiday houses! We were going to 'Day on the Green' in Mudgee and being at Capertee made our return to Syndney much quicker. Happy to recommend and have already done so."

  • "A great house, and a great spot. It's nice and quiet, and the house is fully equipped with everything you'll need for a weekend or a week. "

  • "It was dark and cold when we arrived but we immediately felt welcomed by the house. Interesting pictures and paintings, tasteful furnishings, plenty of space and a cosy family feel. The kids jumped on the beds with glee and we luxuriated in a huge double bed complete with electric blanket. There were plenty of heaters and hot water and we soon warmed up. the kitchen was well equipped and it was great to eat there and then get into the snug sitting room. The owners were charming, helpful and prompt in repaying the bond. I'd definitely go back."

  • "The house was cosy and comfortable. Very simple, but it had a very welcoming feel and we all loved it. Great shower! Just don't twist your ankle in the carpeted-over holes in the floor... (just kidding, they aren't that big, but there are a couple of exciting spots). Thanks also for the great communication and prompt contact after the visit to organise the bond refund."
