Description

Osprey is a superbly appointed property of ultra-modern design. Located half an hour south of Port Macquarie in the quiet, private Timbarra Estate at Dunbogan, the home overlooks native bushland and is only 200 metres from the beautiful South Beach.

Take advantage of all the Camden Haven has to offer; surfing, bushwalking, swimming, whale-watching, National Parks, kayaking, fishing, boating, fine dining, wine tasting and much more.

* Dive into the surf at Dunbogan Beach or take a more leisurely swim just 5 minutes away at Pilot Beach;
* Soak up the sun on the beach or on one of the house's expansive decks;
* Light up the gas BBQ on the deck, walk down to the communal BBQ area by the whale-watching platform or cook up a storm in the gourmet kitchen;
* Enjoy fine dining at one of the local restaurants or grab a hamburger and sit by the river;
* Visit a local winery or take your favourite drop down to the beach at sunset;
* Drive to the lookout on top of North Brother Mountain or stroll around the headlands for great coastal views;
* Try your hand at fishing or call in to the fish co-op at Laurieton for the catch of the day;
* Have a hit on the communal tennis court or watch your favourite team on the plasma TV.

Property Details

There are 3 bedrooms, 2 with queen-sized beds and the other with 2 king singles. The main bedroom has a luxurious ensuite. Each bathroom has a large bath with separate shower.

The open-plan entertainment areas feature polished timber floors, leather lounges, plasma TV, DVD, stereo system and adjoining decks with BBQ and outdoor furniture. The main bedroom has a flat screen LCD TV and DVD.

The double auto-garage provides direct internal access.
No pets please.

  • "We loved our week at this Beautiful architecturally designed Home aptly called Osprey, being perched over lush bushland and a breath from the sea. It was a perfect setting for us as we love the bush and we couldn't get much closer to the wildlife, with hand feeding the Kookaburras on the back deck, to passing the Wallabys as they feed along the drive that leads to the Home and being pleasantly awakened each fine morning with the sound of Wattle birds and lorikeets as they go about their feeding on the flowering Gums and Banksias. Wildlife sightings didnt stop there as there was a Pod of dolphins playing at Pilot beach upon our 1st Day and a huge Turtle came right up next to us as we fished in the Inlet, a short distance from Osprey. The home itself is breathtaking, more beautiful than the photos, with everything you'd ever want to make your stay a very memorable one. We were very sad to leave and with a week just past, we daily reminisce about our week there and can't wait to stay once again. Thank you Pam and Mike, for opening your home and for your personal touch that set you above the rest. Sincerely Chris, Kim and family. "

The beach is pristine and very close. Having breakfast on the deck enjoying the morning sun and watching the birds was a highlight. Can't wait to go back!"

  • "I love camping but, with a new little one we knew that it would be easier to be in a house with electricity =) Osprey was everything I loved about camping and everything I loved about being in a house combined. Lying on the comfy bed watching the moon and stars through lushes bush, listening to the ocean and wildlife in the background, not being eaten by mozzies and feeling the cool breeze flow right through the house. Being only a hop, jump and a skip away from the beach and bush, feeling the seclusion from civilisation but in reality only minutes away. "

  • "A fabulous house which greatly inspired us to go home and finish off our own home (of similar characteristics). Beautiful furnishings that create the feeling of luxury and relaxation. Positioning and outlook creates the feeling of being in a private bushland setting, whilst only minutes away from the beach. We loved it - despite pouring rain for the whole week!   • "We were so impressed with our holiday at Osprey in May 2006, that we were really looking forward to coming back. The house is in a perfect location (a natural setting only a 5 min stroll to the beach). The design of the house is amazing (it has amazing attention to detail). The kitchen is a dream to cook in (with only the best appliances). There is also a laundry (which helped with our son). The two bathrooms are stunning. The rooms are spacious and look out on the beautiful bush surrounding the property. It was great lying in bed looking out to the bush and watching the stars. It is a dream home that we would love to live in one day! There is so much to do in the local area. We even saw a dolphin at Pilot Beach (a sheltered beach great for children). We had beaches and parks all to ourselves most days. We can not recommend this property enough. Thank you for your welcome touches too, it really made us feel special. We will definetely be booking again! "

  • "We had the most relaxing and enjoyable holiday we've had for some time at Osprey. Apart from there being plenty to do and see in the general area, the house itself was a pleasure just to be in. It is strikingly and thoughtfully designed (passive solar orientation) and built with painstaking care, situated in a peaceful bush setting. It is very tastefully appointed, but not in the least ostentatious - and everything in it works beautifully."

  • "This is a beautiful house in a very tranquil bushland estate. The house is even bigger than the photos make it look; with plenty of room for relaxing, games, etc and great dining area, entertainment area and large outdoor covered deck. The lovely bedrooms all have views into the coastal dune native bush valley behind the house. The house is very well finished and the owners were very helpful getting everything set-up for our stay. This is a lovely area to stay and relax on the NSW coast."
