The Birdhouse

The Birdhouse is set on 50 private acres of unspoilt bushland with a mixture of rainforest and tall eucalyptus forest. Three crystal clear mountain streams run through the property and it supports a wide variety of native plants, animals and especially birdlife. Lyre birds display and call around the house throughout winter. Wombats are regularly seen at night and wallabies can be seen in the early morning and evening.
It is a paradise for adults and children alike. Peace and tranquillity and the chance to finally relax for the adults, abundant space and adventure for the kids (including a large tree house close to the house).

Around the Birdhouse

Within a few minutes drive is the well known Barren Grounds Nature Reserve, with walking tracks, picnic spots and dozens of species of birds to look out for, including the rare Ground Parrot and Eastern Bristlebird.

Slightly further afield, the village of Jamberoo is a 10 minute drive away, the pretty village of Robertson is about 15 minutes away with a fantastic deli and numerous cafes. Kiama with its famous Blow Hole is only 20 minutes away. For families, the Jamberoo Recreation Park is only a 10 minute drive or paddle/swim at Carrington Falls/Nellies Glen (10 mins drive in national park on the way to Robertson). Kangeroo Valley approx 3/4hr drive.
