The Location

Crabbes Creek is a small rural, hinterland village with its own unique General Store just off Tweed Valley Way, the old Pacific Highway. It is the most southern village in the Tweed Shire and has a very convenient location with quick access off the Byron to Brisbane M1 Freeway. It is 20 minutes from Murwillumbah to the north and Byron Bay is 15 minutes to the south. Coolangatta Airport is 30 minutes away. The Tugun Bypass has made a great difference to travel time.
Crabbes Creek provides a convenient and ideal respite from music and other festivals such as Splendour in the Grass, Blues and Roots in Byron Bay, Speed on Tweed in Murwillumbah, Writers' Festivals, National Cycling events, Brunswick Heads "Fish and Chips" and the Poker Championships at Billinudgel.

Activities

Enjoy the beautiful beaches close by - the closest are Wooyung and South Golden, - the restaurants of Brunswick Heads, Byron Bay or the local pub, The Victory at Mooball, and cafes at Mooball or New Brighton. Visit the Regional Art Gallery in Murwillumbah, take a river cruise or try to catch a crab. Watch the whales as they journey north from pristine Wooyung Beach, climb Mt Warning or visit Minyon Falls or Natural Arch. Play golf at Ocean Shores or one of the many other local courses, go horse riding or parachuting at Tyalgum. Visit Nimbin, Mullumbimby and other hinterland towns or hop on the freeway to Tweed Heads & spend a day shopping or at the many clubs. Try Hot-air ballooning or catch a helicopter to your cottage. No matter what your activity, you will return to the sounds of the creek and bird song to watch the stars in this magical valley.
