Gwinganna Country House is an "Eco Friendly" retreat nestles amidst three hectares of traditional country and rural gardens. High in the hills, the house and ground sit adjacent to the State Forest and overlooks spectacular mountains and the beautiful Paradise Valley.
Perfectly positioned between rain-forest and all the glorious beaches of Apollo Bay, Gwinganna has much to offer those seeking sanctuary from the rush and crush of the city. The property was formerly a market garden and the house is now surrounded by a picturesque garden including an array of Japanese maples, weeping cherry trees, camellias & perennials.
The Otway rain-forest and magnificent eucalyptus tall trees are adjacent to the boundaries offering rainforest walks with magnificent views of the surrounding countryside. Wildlife and bush life unique to the property.
Gwinganna comfortably accommodates gatherings (on request ) with three bedrooms and separate bungalow a few steps away from the main house.
The 3 bedrooms in the main house boast 2 queen size bedrooms plus a light and airy loft with 2 single beds that made up as a king bed if required. The separate bungalow contains another queen bed plus 2 singles.
The eclectic interior has a touch of the old with it's wood fired heating, and slow combustion stove accompanied by modern facilities such as electric stove, dishwasher, walk-in pantry, Ipod dock, dining table for 12, rustic furniture, contemporary Australian artwork and reverse cycle heating/cooling.
There is also a separate games room which allows for some good old fashioned fun with friends around the billiard table and table tennis table as well as providing an additional space to play music and lounge around in.
Outdoor decks provide delightful reading areas with magnificent back drops to admire. Alternatively just sit and take in the view
.. youll find yourself in a meditative state of mind in no time at all. Cap the day off with a BBQ and outdoor dining while the sun sets over that glorious valley.

The local fishing fleet is moored in the bay, protected by a breakwater.
Horse-riding along the beach, bush walking, golfing and fishing are popular pastimes with locals and visitors. There are numerous idyllic picnic spots, such as under the giant tree ferns of Paradise.
