Freycinet Eco Retreat

Description

Each cabin (there are two) can accommodate two people in a king bedroom with ensuite shower room, and your own kitchen/living/dining area opening onto a large deck with stunning views of the Freycinet Peninsula.

The cabins are modern in design, with exposed timbers, polished granite, and hob-less showers, and they are well equipped with digital TVs, DVDs with surround sound, log burners, washing machines, and full kitchen facilities. Linen and towels are provided.

Minimum 2 night stay. 3 night minimum during the Christmas week.

Freycinet Eco Retreat is located at Mt Paul, which is a place in which to relax and rejuvenate, and to get immersed in nature. There is a variety of wildlife on the property, including Tasmanian devils, quolls, wombats, echidnas, wallabies and possums, and a series of tracks enable you to wander around and to take in the view from the mountain top.

If you stay at Freycinet Eco Retreat you can enjoy a warm fuzzy feeling in knowing that we have done the best that budget and practicalities have allowed us to ensure that your stay here leaves as small a carbon footprint as possible. The cabins have been constructed, from footings to roofing, following environmentally sustainable design principles, and that together with a raft of other intiatives has enabled us to achieve Advanced Eco Certification.

Local Attractions

In addition to that which the property itself can offer you, the Freycinet area is magnificent. The local bushwalking includes the walk to the lookout to renowned Wineglass Bay, which is one of the top ten beaches in the World. The local boutique wines are superb, and there is a variety of activities to do, including, kayaking, 4 wheel motorbiking, abseiling, boat cruising or simply, swimming, fishing or playing golf.
