About the house

There is a double bed in the downstairs bedroom. Upstairs, 2 bedrooms each have 2 single beds and 1 bedroom has a single bed and a double bed.


You need to bring sheets and pillow slips. There are doonas on all beds, with covers. Bring towels. The kitchen is fully equipped and there are basic food items like salt, pepper, teas, sugar, but bring cooking oil and coffee.

  • "We have just spent a magical week at this house in one of the most beautiful beach locations.The house is really practical and easily fits 9 people without feeling cramped.The kitchen is a good size and is well equipped although we mostly used the large gas BBQ on the balcony at the front.It is ideal for house sharing with a bathroom and bedrooms on seperate floors. There are great views on both floors out over the bay.We will be back!"

  • "This house is amazing, the pics definitely don't do it justice. Our first night down, even though it was raining, we were able to have a great BBQ under the covered porch while listening to the ocean lapping aganst the shore across the street. Multiple beaches are within walking distance, as is the Hyams Beach General store, a great little spot for lunch or dinner. Everything we could have wanted was provided and we ended up cooking most of our meals in the beautiful, spacious kitchen. We went with 6 adults and there was enough room and personal space for all, including a beautiful porch across the front top level of the house. I would definitely stay here again. "

  • "We really enjoyed our stay at the "Rowse House" - it is a lovely, clean, well appointed and well situated house. Better than we expected given the relatively ordinary photos on the web site. The location, down the road from Chinaman's Beach and the communal BBQ/park, was perfect for our two families. We will definitely look to book the house again!"

  • "The house is the typical timber beach house from the 1950s or 60s, or maybe earlier. It is ideally positioned right opposite the bay, with two lovely beaches to choose from within 200m in either direction. It is on a fairly quiet road. Lovely outlook from the upstairs front bedrooms. Kitchen well resourced in terms of crockery, dishes, utensils, knives and so on. Dishwasher and stove fine. Good front balcony for BBQs and outdoor eating. Bathroom fine and good having extra shower in laundry."
