LOCATION
Corlette Beach is a 30-minute drive from Newcastle Airport and a 2½-hour drive north of the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
It takes about 1-minute to walk from The Beach House to Corlette Beach, 3-minutes to the exclusive Peppers Anchorage Resort & Marina and about 40-minutes to walk along The Waterfront Path into Nelson Bay.
Corlette Beach is generally considered to be the best sandy beach in Port Stephens and it is ideal for small children.
The reserve that runs behind the beach has BBQ and playground areas at either end. And The Waterfront Path that winds its way through the reserve is a great place for kids to ride their bikes and scooters.
The Beach House looks onto Corlette Point Road which runs behind the beach down to Corlette Headland Reserve and Peppers Anchorage Resort & Marina.
Corlette Point Road is considered by many to be the most desirable address in Port Stephens.
A facial at the Day Spa at Peppers followed by dinner at the award winning Merretts restaurant is always popular with our guests. And the outstanding view over The Anchorage Marina and Corlette Beach is a good excuse to meet in The Captain\'s Bar for drinks.
The Anchorage Marina is a convenient location to hire a bike or rent a dinghy, book a fishing charter or learn to sail. Dolphin-watch cruises depart regularly from the Marina and whale-watch cruises from May to October. And the sunset dinner cruise is sensational.
There are lots of great walks that are easily accessible from The Beach House. The walk along The Anchorage Marina seawall is popular and our guests regularly report seeing dolphins and turtles in the summer and Fairy Penguins during the cooler months.
The seawall is also a good place to teach kids to fish and we often see our guests surrounded by an excited tribe of children and grandchildren patiently baiting hooks and untangling lines.
