This unique Chalet was awarded the Blacket Award for a outstanding architectural merit, outside of Metropolitan Sydney, by the Royal Australian Institute of Architects. Using the latest in eco-friendly technology, the chalet is extremely energy efficient. The Chalet consists of 2 double bedrooms that open onto the mountain grasses. Each enjoys a seperate bathroom. There is also a study with 2 bunk beds.

Set into the side of the mountain, perched above the river the chalet allows you to enjoy the Australian landscape in comfort. Wake up to watch the morning mist rollover the mountain ridge. Enjoy your morning breakfast on the sun drenched deck or lie in a hammock by the river. Extensive bush walking tracks, swimming holes and picnic spots. Wander past the orchard brimming with ripe raspberries, figs, quinces and grapes. Or pick fresh herbs growing next to the chalet for long lunches.

The Chalet is set on 464 acres of rural land, bounded by a 5 kilometre loop in the Coxs River.

This secluded escape is situated in the Megalong Valley only 30 minutes drive from Blackheath in the Blue Mountains. The property is easily accessible and conveniently close to all the wonderful things the Blue Mountains has to offer.

The property itself, however, has walks and scenery of its own more than enough to occupy your whole weekend. Some maps and ideas are provided in the chalet for your information.

Designer Chalet set in the Megalong, just 1.5 - 2 hours drive from Sydney. Hidden at the end of the valley right on the river - bring the mountian walking shoes, hearty books, good food and lots of great Aussie wine and have a ball!

Chalet sleeps 4 comfortably (max. 6) people, fully-equipped for a weekend or mid-week escape and great base from which to explore the Blue Mountains.
