Description
The Retreat is in a unique location, backing directly onto the sand dunes.
We are a great holiday venue with 10 buildings sleeping from 1 person up to 32 people in a building. Also non-powered camp sites with amenities blocks for males and females with hot showers.
Well off the main road, we are well hidden and offer a safe environment and peaceful setting for all guests. Bring the push bikes, cricket sets and football as there is plenty of grassy areas to have a play.
Gather around the BBQ area for meals and have a camp fire. In the evenings enjoy the stars and toast marshmellows. Bring a torch and go possum spotting at night or go for a night walk out to the dunes.
Relax around the pool during the day on a sunbed or better still get in and have a splash. Our pool has a graduating floor which make it ideal for the little kids.
Next to the swimming pool is our games room which has a pool table, air hockey, pinball and card game tables. This is a great area to relax and have some laughs.
A Flat screen tv is also in games room so you will not miss any special events on TV.
The Retreat also has a volleyball net for weekend tournments that you can join in or just for a family friendly game. See the office for ball hire.
Property Features and facilities
Situated on 4 acres and surrounded by bushland The Retreat has an abundance of wildlife that visit the grounds. Including our possums we also have Goanna's, Echinda's, Kookaburra's and many other bird species.
We have direct access out to the Sand dunes. The Retreat offers sand board hire to take out and ride the dunes which have been know to be as high a 30m above sea level.
Stay with us while you take in all that beautiful Port Stephens has to offer. Do some whale or dolphin watching, take a cruise, play some golf or take time to visit our local wineries and Brewery for some wine tasting.
The Retreat is also a great venue for casual weddings or corporate events.
School camps are welcome to book the property and we have special mid-week rates for schools.
Catering is available for both school camps and also all group bookings. We have menu's to suit everyone and we can email these to you on request.
