The Captain's Cottage is both a modern and traditional beach cottage which is set up for familiy groups to enjoy the ultimate beach holiday.
The Cottage incorporates an authentic lighthouse.

The cottage is located immediately adjoining a safe sandy beach. Just a short stroll of 20 metres across the back lawn to be on the low beach dune and a further 30 metres across the dune to be on the sand to get your toes wet.

The cottage is located at Long Beach which is a small relatively unspoilt hamlet 5 km north of the regional centre of Batemans Bay and 3 minutes in from the Princess Highway.

The picture library shows the idyllic setting of the cottage right next to the beach as well as many of its interesting and unique features. Some of these pictures are courtesy of the "Country Collections" magazine which featured the Cottage in its December 2010 edition.

Whether you want to relax in the outdoor heated spa, swim, paddle in the water, fish off the beach in front of the cottage, explore the rock pools at each end of the 1km long beach,build sandcastles or just laze around in an idyllic setting and "feel the serenity", this is the place to be for that great holiday or short break in both summer and winter.
The cottage has five bedrooms and is set up to accomodate 10 people (with a maximum of 8 adults).
The cottage has two bathrooms. One of these incorporates a large deep bath and a separate shower whilst the other is an ensuite modelled on two beach huts (see photos). There is also an outside heated spa and shower.

One pet is allowed. Details of the areas of Long Beach beach where dogs can be walked are provided in the Cottage.

The cottage has three separate living areas, each with their own TV and VCR/DVD player, three open deck areas with one having a heated 6 person spa, a screened sunroom, and a screened covered deck area. The open backyard fronting the beach is all grass and ideal for that game of cricket or badminton. The cottage even incorporates a fully equipped replica ship's bridge from a 1930's cargo ship.

We provide boogie boards, buckets and spades, cricket set, badminton set, a DVD/Video library (many with a nautical theme), puzzles, games, magazines, books, outdoor sun lounges, and even a picnic basket to take onto the beach.

We can also supply bed linen and bath towels if required.

If you have a trailer boat this can be easily parked in front of the cottage. Limited boat launching facilities are provided at one end of Long Beach and numerous boat ramps are provided around Batemans Bay.

THOSE LITTLE EXTRAS TO MAKE YOUR STAY SPECIAL:

As an optional extra the Captains Cottage can be set up for your visit with bed linen made up and bath towels provided ready for your stay. You can choose from cotton for in the summer or cosy flanalette for in the winter.

The Cottage comes complete with its own video and DVD library aimed at family entertainment. Enjoy watching many various films including such titles as "Finding Nemo", "Master and Commander", "Pirates of the Carribean", "The Boat that Rocked" and also classics like "African Queen".

We do not supply fishing gear but everything else for the beach is provided including beach chairs, boogie boards (4) as well as buckets and spades. We also provide cricket and badminton sets.

Dolphins frequently cruise up and down in front of the cottage all year long. Whales also visit and are in the Bay between June and November. If you are lucky you may also see the odd seal as well.

The outside heated spa on the deck in front of the lighthouse seats up to 5 adults and is a great place to sit and relax on an evening with the lights of Batemans Bay across the water and the stars twinkling in the sky.

Coffee, tea, sugar and milk are also provided to start you off.

We do not supply any bedding or equipment for babies and very young children. Tenants will need to bring all such necessary items themselves.

The Captains Cottage and its lighthouse are set up as a classic and traditional beach cottage incorporating all of the modern things needed to make your stay comfortable, memorable and most of all highly enjoyable.

The rates for the Captains Cottage are we believe reasonable and highly competitive for what is a unique and luxurious beach house located in an ideal setting.
