Location

Located between Narrabri and Bingara, this property is surrounded by hills. It is 170 km NW of Tamworth which is about 1.5 hours away. 30 minutes from Bingara and 45 minutes from Narrabri, 80 minutes south of Moree.

Did you know that taking the road to Bingara after leaving Narrabri when heading north is the shortest way to the Gold Coast and Brisbane. It is also known as "The Scenic Way" as it is a truly beautiful drive through 5 valleys to Bingara. You can also stop off at Sawn Rocks on the way to Sherwoods Cottage. Heading south from Brisbane and the Gold Coast is quicker through Texas and Warialda, on to Bingara and then to Narrabri. Stopping off for a break at Sherwoods Cottage, of course!

Local Attractions

Magnificent array of bird life - over 85 species in the local area. Geological features include the hexagonal columns of Sawn Rocks and the Glacial Area. Creek on property where you can fish and swimming hole nearby. Kayaking, horse riding, gold panning in Bingara. Artesian baths in Moree and Mt Kaputar National Park is nearby as well.
